Here for sale we have a Fender TL62B-100BTX Electric Guitar in Old Lake Placid Blue finish. Made in Japan in 2004/2005, this guitar features a bolt-on construction comprising an Alder body, Maple neck and 21 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Nickel hardware is fitted including a Bigsby B5 'F' Logo vibrato tailpiece, Adjusto-matic/rocking style bridge & vintage-style split-post tuning machines. A pair of Texas Special Tele single-coil pickups are installed, and are wired to a 3-way blade switch, master volume & master tone controls.

The Maple neck plays exceptionally well, with a profile which is vintage-inspired without feeling too bulky or cumbersome. There is plenty of substance to the profile which inspires confidence when playing chords & rhythm parts, whilst lead lines and solos are well accommodated. The Rosewood of the fingerboard is luxurious under the fingers, with a dark appearance and tight grain pattern that provides a smooth & durable playing surface. The vintage-correct 7.25" radius is paired with vintage-style frets for an authentic playing experience. The Bigsby B5 tailpiece works nicely for adding a little vibrato to your chord voicings whilst remaining unintrusive to the playing experience.

Amplified, the pair of Texas Special Telecaster single-coil pickups deliver beautifully clear and precise tones that are quintessential Telecaster whilst also providing some refinement. The neck pickup is warm and round, with plenty of power for driving your solo tones to the front of the mix. The bridge pickup is always the main event in a Telecaster, and this particular one does not disappoint. Plenty of bright Telecaster 'Twang' is present, and with a nice high output, the pickup can push your amp into a gritty and raw distortion. The controls are responsive, allowing you to dial in your perfect sound right on the guitar. A beautiful example of one of Fender Japan's most desirable instruments.

Please be aware that for international buyers import fees are not included in our postage and packaging cost, this only covers the cost of the guitar being sent to you. Import fees will be charged by Customs upon the guitar's arrival in the recipient country. Due to Brexit, this also applies to EU buyers. We advise checking the total import cost with Customs as this is not information we are able to accurately provide.

    Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall very good condition. Light indentations are apparent to the bass side edge and front edge of the tip. The finish has cracked surrounding some of these markings but the wood is not exposed. Very light scratching and indentation is visible to the front face when viewed under direct light, as is common with high gloss finishes.

Neck: Overall very good condition. The rear of the neck demonstrates light indentation throughout, most notably to the mid register where the markings are lightly felt under the thumb in the playing position. The bass side edge of the fingerboard shows light scuffing beyond the 21st fret.

Body: Overall very good condition. Light to mild scratching & indentation is apparent throughout the body, in some cases cracking the finish but not exposing the wood. A moderate indentation is present at the binding at the front edge of the bass side waist. The rear face shows slightly more moderate marking consistent with playwear. A small patch of indentation with finish cracking is present at the bass side lower bout.

    Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate mild signs of use, not affecting playability. Very light flattening of the frets is apparent throughout the register. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
