Here for sale we have a Fender Standard Stratocaster Electric Guitar in Lake Placid Blue. Made in Mexico in 2003, this guitar consists of an Alder body, a Maple neck, and a 21-fret Maple fingerboard. Chrome hardware is fitted, including a 6-Saddle Vintage-Style Synchronized Tremolo and Fender Die-Cast Sealed tuning machines. A trio of Fender Standard Strat single-coil pickups are installed, and are wired to a 5-way blade switch, master volume neck tone and middle tone controls.
The Maple neck plays very well, with Fender's popular Modern 'C' profile filling the hand nicely for a substantial grip when chord playing, yet remaining slim enough for fast articulate lead lines. The Satin finish to the rear of the neck has been buffed to a gloss from previous playing and is pleasant to the touch, and assists with smooth and speedy navigation of the 25.5" scale. The Maple fingerboard has a nice tight grain, and with its 9.5" radius provides a smooth, durable and practical surface for a wide variety of playing styles and techniques. This is enhanced by the frets, which encourage faster playing whilst improving the feel of string bending and vibrato techniques.
The trio of Fender Standard Strat single-coil pickups installed in this guitar deliver traditional Stratocaster tones in spades, with 5-way switching and comprehensive controls providing the wide range of versatile tones that the Strat is famous for. The neck is warm and round whilst providing all the power required to push your solos to the front of the mix. The middle position is well suited to funky clean tones, whilst the bridge delivers a searing output for rocking riffs and that classic Fender 'Twang'.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition. Light to mild indentations are present to the edges of the headstock with the most apparent being seen to the front face top edge where the wood beneath the finish has been exposed. Mild discoloration is present to all aspects of the headstock, this is common with a guitar of this age.
Neck: Overall very good condition. Light indentations are present to the rear of the neck across the register, these can be seen under direct light and can slightly be felt in the playing position. Chipping of the lacquer finish is apparent to the butt of the fingerboard, this has exposed the wood beneath the finish. The Satin finish to both the fingerboard and rear of the neck have been polished to a Gloss texture, this is consistent with regular past use.
Body: Overall very good condition. A light lacquer crack is present to the bass side of the neck pocket, this has been tested and does not present any structural concerns. All aspects of the body display light to mild indentations with the most apparent being seen to the center of the rear face, bass side shoulder edge and to the tip of the treble side horn, these have broken the finish exposing the wood beneath. All aspects of the body display light scratching which can be seen under direct light, as is common with gloss finishes.
Condition of Frets:
This guitar has had a fret level and re-crown to ensure improved playability. There is moderate material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (3/16" hex) not included.
Hardware: Overall very good condition. A previous owner has replaced the pick guard and control knobs, the originals are not included. All aspects of the metal hardware display light tarnishing consistent with past use. Tremolo arm not included.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm
