Here for sale we have a Fender 40th Anniversary American Standard Stratocaster Electric Guitar in Brown Sunburst finish. Made in the USA in 1994, this guitar features a bolt-on construction comprising an Alder body, Maple neck and 22 fret Maple fingerboard. This guitar is fitted with Chrome hardware, including 2-point American Standard tremolo bridge with 6 block saddles and Fender sealed tuners. The pickups are a trio of Fender American Standard Stratocaster Single-coils, wired to the standard Stratocaster controls. To commemorate the 40th anniversary, Fender added an engraved 40th anniversary neck plate and headstock badge.
The Maple neck plays well, with the ‘C’ profile sitting comfortably in the hand and providing a smooth and responsive playing experience in all registers. The 25.5" scale offers ample string tension whilst feeling easy to navigate thanks to the gloss finish to the rear of the neck. The 9.5" fingerboard radius provides a vintage feel with modern playability that allows for comfortable string bending and chord positioning. This all adds up to a playing experience that is well suited to a wide variety of styles, just as the Stratocaster is renowned for.
The trio of Fender American Standard Strat single-coils provide crystal clean trebles in the bridge, warm chiming mids in the middle position and smooth rounded fullness in the neck position. The signature Strat ‘Honk’ is present in positions 2 & 4, perfect for those bluesy out-of-phase sounds. The pickups work well with overdrive, whilst also cleaning up nicely when using subtler amp settings or dialling down the very responsive controls. This assures the player comprehensive control of their tone right on the guitar, with a vast range of versatile tones all at the players finger tips.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition, all aspects of the headstock demonstrate cracking and delamination of the finish consistent with other 90's examples of Fender guitars. The top edge demonstrates consistent light indentation that does not pierce the finish. Some discoloration is apparent to the edges of the headstock. A small chip to the finish is apparent to the rear top edge. The rear treble side edge demonstrates a moderate indentation chipping the finish.
Neck: Overall good condition, all aspects of the neck and fingerboard demonstrate cracking and delamination of the finish consistent with other 90's examples of Fender guitars. The early register and edges of the fingerboard demonstrate chipping and wear through the finish, revealing the wood beneath. Green discoloration is apparent beside the frets, having worked down beneath the finish between the frets and the fingerboard. The rear of the neck demonstrates infrequent light indentation which is visible only under direct lighting and cannot be felt beneath the thumb.
Body: Overall very good condition, all aspects of the body demonstrate consistent light scratching and indentation. This causes a hazing of the finish under direct lighting at certain angles. A series of moderate indentations are apparent to the edge of the bass side lower bout, piercing the finish slightly.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate notable signs of use, with flattening of the crowns throughout the register. There is not enough room remaining for future fret work.

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (1/8" hex) not included.
Hardware: Fully functional with moderate signs of wear.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
