Here for sale we have a Fender Standard Stratocaster Electric Guitar in 3-Colour Sunburst finish. Made in Mexico in 2008, this guitar features a bolt-on construction comprising an Alder body, Maple neck and 21 Vintage fret Maple fingerboard. Chrome hardware is fitted, including a 6-Saddle Vintage-Style Synchronized Tremolo and Fender Sealed tuning machines. A trio of Fender Standard Strat single-coil pickups are installed, and are wired to a 5-way blade switch, master volume neck tone and middle tone controls.
The Maple neck plays very well, with Fender's popular Modern 'C' profile filling the hand nicely for a substantial grip when chord playing, yet remaining slim enough for fast articulate lead lines. The Satin finish to the rear of the neck has been buffed to a gloss from previous playing and is pleasant to the touch, and assists with smooth and speedy navigation of the 25.5" scale. The Maple fingerboard has a nice tight grain, and with its 9.5" radius provides a smooth, durable and practical surface for a wide variety of playing styles and techniques. This is enhanced by the Vintage frets, which encourage faster playing whilst improving the feel of string bending and vibrato techniques.
The trio of Fender Standard Strat single-coil pickups installed in this guitar deliver traditional Stratocaster tones in spades, with 5-way switching and comprehensive controls providing the wide range of versatile tones that the Strat is famous for. The neck is warm and round whilst providing all the power required to push your solos to the front of the mix. The middle position is well suited to funky clean tones, whilst the bridge delivers a searing output for rocking riffs and that classic Fender 'Twang'.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition, the bass side edge between the nut and the low E tuner on the front face demonstrates a burn mark, piercing the finish. The top and treble side edges demonstrate consistent scuffing and indentations, piercing the finish in places.
Neck: Overall very good condition, scratches are apparent along the side of the frets as if they have been scored previously. These have discolored over time to a darker colour. The rear of the neck demonstrates light indentations throughout the register which can be somewhat felt beneath the thumb when playing but do not affect the overall playability of the instrument.
Body: Overall good condition, the edges demonstrate several notable chips to the finish which have been painted black by the previous owner. Further indentation and chipping can be identified along the bottom edges, piercing the finish in places. This is most consistent to the treble side. The front face demonstrates several indentations along the lower bout on both bass and treble sides, most concentrated surrounding the jack plate. The rear face demonstrates similar markings, most notably to the bass side of the lower bout.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate moderate signs of use with indentation and flattening of the crowns apparent throughout the register. This does not affect playability. There is moderate material remaining for future fret work.
