Here for sale we have a Fender ST-62D Foto Flame Stratocaster Electric Guitar in 3-Tone Sunburst finish. Made in Japan between 1994/95, this guitar consists of a Basswood body with a Foto Flame veneer, a Maple neck, and a 21-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include chrome hardware, vintage tuners, a 6-saddle vintage tremolo bridge, and a set of three ST Vintage Single Coil Pickups. These pickups are wired to a master volume, two tone controls, and a five-way pickup selector.
The Maple neck plays extraordinarily well, with the 'Oval Type' profile feeling somewhat like a slim 'C' shape, offering comfortable playability and easy reach across the register. Certainly, the neck will feel familiar to those used to Fenders' Modern 'C' profile. The Rosewood of the fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, providing a smooth and durable playing surface. With a traditional 7.25" radius, the playing surface is well equipped for string bending and fast lead techniques whilst remaining practical for chordal playing. The smooth lines of the Stratocaster body are as comfortable in the arms as ever, reducing fatigue on long gigs and practice sessions.
Amplified, all of the vintage-inspired Stratocaster tones we expect are present and correct. The neck position is warm and round without being too soft; working very well for lead tones. The middle position is punchy and clear, perfect for funky rhythm parts. The bridge is of course brighter, easily cutting through the mix with crunchy rock rhythms and riffs. The traditional Stratocaster controls are as versatile and comprehensive as you could hope for, allowing you to dial in the perfect tone for almost any musical situation. A typically well-made Japanese instrument with some enhanced visual touches to make it stand out from the crowd.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition, the top edge demonstrates light indentation and scuffing, piercing the finish slightly. The front and rear faces demonstrate very light scratching difficult to discern against the satin finish.
Neck: Overall very good condition, the rear of the neck demonstrates light indentation throughout the register, somewhat discernible beneath the thumb. One indentation behind the 5th fret has chipped the finish, revealing the wood beneath. The rear of the neck has buffed from satin to gloss through regular use. The fingerboard demonstrates light playwear in the early register, difficult to discern against the natural grain.
Body: Overall very good condition, all aspects of the body demonstrate consistent light to moderate indentation and scratching, piercing the finish in places. This is most notable along the lower bout of the front face and along the lower bout edges, where several indentations pierce the finish. Both corners of the neck pocket demonstrate light finish cracking, not affecting the structural stability of the instrument.
