Here for sale we have a Fender Road Worn '50s Stratocaster Electric Guitar in Black finish. Made in Mexico in 2011, this guitar consists of an Alder body, a Maple neck, and a 21-fret Maple fingerboard. Other appointments include a 6-Saddle Vintage-Style Synchronized Tremolo system, Vintage-Style tuners, Chrome hardware, and a set of Tex-Mex Single-Coil Strat pickups. These pickups are wired to a master volume, tone 1, tone 2, and a 5-way pickup selector.
The ‘Road Worn’ Maple neck plays very well, with a Soft 'V' profile that fills the hand whilst also sitting comfortably in the hand and provides a suitably vintage-inspired playing experience. The 7.25" fingerboard radius continues this theme, and when paired with the Narrow Tall size frets completes an authentic '50s specification that captures the character and vibe of those early Stratocasters for the modern player. The classic Stratocaster body contours feel as comfortable as ever, with the dual cutaways providing excellent access to the upper frets.
The trio of Tex-Mex Single-Coil Strat pickups provide a wide range of tonal options, as is to be expected on a Stratocaster. The neck pickup offers warm and round tones, perfect for lead lines and soloing. The often overlooked middle pickup is great for funky tones, whilst the bridge position is as bright and biting as ever. Although a '50s inspired guitar, the wiring has been modernised so that the bridge tone can be affected by the Tone 2 control, allowing for full scope of tonal control.
