Here for sale we have a Fender Starcaster Semi-Hollow Electric Bass in Natural Gloss finish. Made in China in 2014, this bolt-on constructed electric bass consists of an Alder body with a Maple top, a Maple neck, and a 22-fret Maple fingerboard. Other appointments include a 4-saddle Fender Hi-Mass bridge, Chrome hardware, Standard Open-Gear tuners, Skirted Amp knobs, and a set of Fender Wide Range Humbucking Bass pickups. These pickups are wired to two volume controls, two tone controls, and a three-way pickup selector.
The Maple neck plays very well, with the 'C' profile filling the hand nicely for a reassuring grip, whilst remaining slim enough for articulate playing. The Gloss finish to the rear is pleasant under the thumb and assists with smooth navigation of the 34" scale. The Gloss Maple fingerboard with its 9.5" radius is practical for a wide range of playing styles and techniques whilst providing a pleasant and durable playing surface. The Medium Jumbo frets enhance the feel of string bending and vibrato techniques whilst also providing a rock-solid sensation under the fingers.
The semi-hollow construction provides an open airiness to the sound which makes the instrument suitable for a wide range of genres whilst retaining a unique and unmistakable voice. The Fender Wide Range Humbuckers deliver a thick and powerful tone, with smooth rounded lows, clear and open mid range and a sweet treble response that captures the attack and aggression of your playing. The pots feel nicely responsive, allowing you to dial in your perfect tone with ease, whilst the simplicity of the controls ensure that you can stay focussed on your playing whilst still offering comprehensive control of your tone.
Please be aware that for international buyers import fees are not included in our postage and packaging cost, this only covers the cost of the guitar being sent to you. Import fees will be charged by Customs upon the guitar's arrival in the recipient country. Due to Brexit, this also applies to EU buyers. We advise checking the total import cost with Customs as this is not information we are able to accurately provide.
