Here for sale we have a Fender Starcaster Semi-Hollow Electric Bass in Aged Cherry Burst finish. Made in China in 2013, this bolt-on constructed electric bass consists of an Alder body with a Maple top, a Maple neck, and a 22-fret Maple fingerboard. Other appointments include a 4-saddle Fender Hi-Mass bridge, Chrome hardware, Standard Open-Gear tuners, Skirted Amp knobs, and a set of Fender Wide Range humbucking Bass pickups. These pickups are wired to two volume controls, two tone controls, and a three-way pickup selector.
The Maple neck plays very well, with the 'C' profile filling the hand nicely for a reassuring grip, whilst remaining slim enough for articulate playing. The Gloss finish to the rear is pleasant under the thumb and assists with smooth navigation of the 34" scale. The Gloss Maple fingerboard with its 9.5" radius is practical for a wide range of playing styles and techniques whilst providing a pleasant and durable playing surface. The Medium Jumbo frets enhance the feel of string bending and vibrato techniques whilst also providing a rock-solid sensation under the fingers.
The semi-hollow construction provides an open airiness to the sound which makes the instrument suitable for a wide range of genres whilst retaining a unique and unmistakable voice. The Fender Wide Range humbuckers deliver a thick and powerful tone, with smooth rounded lows, clear and open mid range and a sweet treble response that captures the attack and aggression of your playing. The pots feel nicely responsive, allowing you to dial in your perfect tone with ease, whilst the simplicity of the controls ensure that you can stay focused on your playing whilst still offering comprehensive control of your tone.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition, a notable series of indentations, scuffing and finish cracking is apparent to the treble side edge. This has caused a slight delamination of the finish which has potential to worsen over time if impacted again.
Neck: Overall excellent condition, it is difficult to discern any markings to the neck and fingerboard.
Body: Overall very good condition, a series of moderate scratches are apparent surrounding the switch on the front face. All aspects of the body demonstrate very light scratching visible only under direct lighting at certain angles.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for future fret work.

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (3/16" hex) not included.
