Here for sale we have a Fender MIJ Jagstang Electric Guitar in Fiesta Red finish. Made in Japan between 1996 and 1997, this guitar consists of a Basswood body, a Maple neck, and a 22-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include Dynamic Vibrate bridge, Vintage Style machine heads, and Vintage frets. The pickups installed are a ST Vintage single coil in the neck position, and a Dragster humbucker in the bridge position. These pickups are wired to a master volume, master tone, and a set of independent slider switches.
The 'Oval' shaped Maple neck profile feels well-fitted and comfortable in the hand, offering the player a chunky and solid grip which works well for both lead and rhythm playing. The 24" scale improves manoeuvrability along the register whilst also providing a slinky feel to the strings thanks to the slightly reduced tension. The Vintage frets are rock solid under the fingers for smooth vibrato & string bending techniques.
The ST Vintage single coil in the neck position provides a crisp and bell-like tone, providing excellent chime and articulation, reminiscent of Vintage style pickups. The Dragster humbucker in the bridge position is thick and powerful sounding, driving the front end of an amp well and has a cutting and punchy midrange. The addition of the slider switches adds more versatility to this guitar, whilst the controls are responsive enough to facilitate a range of tones with just small adjustments.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition. Light to mild indentations are present to the edges of the headstock, the most apparent of these can be seen to the top edge where delamination of the lacquer is present but does not expose the wood. Light to mild scratching can be seen to all aspects of the headstock, these can only be seen under direct light, most prominent to the front face.
Neck: Overall very good condition. Light to mild indentations are present to the rear of the neck across the register, the most apparent of these can be seen and flat at the 2nd fret where mild discoloration is also present. All other indentations can only be seen under direct light.
Body: Overall very good condition. Light lacquer cracking is present to both the treble and bass sides of the neck pocket, these have been tested and present no structural concerns. All aspects of the body display light to moderate indentations, the most prominent of these can be seen to the treble side edge lower bout where the finish has been pierced lightly exposing the wood beneath. Milder indentations can be seen to both the front and rear face lower bouts, these can be seen under direct light and do not break the finish. Light to mild scratching is present to all aspects of the body, these can only be seen under direct light, as is common with gloss finishes.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate mild signs of use, not affecting playability. Denting and flattening of the frets is apparent throughout the register. There is moderate material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (Flathead Driver) not included.
Hardware: Overall very good condition. Light to mild tarnishing and oxidation is present to all aspects of the metal hardware, this is consistent with regular past use and is common with a guitar of this age. Discolouration is present to the pick guard, with this slight lifting of the pearloid plastic can be seen to the treble side of the pick guard. Scratching and wear markings are present to the pickup covers, this is common with past use. Tremolo arm not included.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.75mm - Bass 2mm

Strings on Guitar - 10-46
This guitar demonstrates light fret noise which is not apparent when amplified. This noise does not affect sustain of notes, nor does it affect bending the notes. The new owner may choose to raise the action to alleviate this.
