Here for sale we have a Fender MIJ HRR '60s Stratocaster Electric Guitar in Candy Apple Red finish. Made in Japan between 1990-1993, this guitar consists of a Basswood body, a Maple neck, and a 22-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include a Floyd Rose Original Double Locking Tremolo system, Vintage-Style tuners, a locking nut, a DiMarzio 'HM' Humbucker in the bridge, and a pair of DiMarzio Single Coils in the neck and middle positions. These pickups are wired to a master volume, tone 1, tone 2, a 5-way pickup selector, and a 'neck-on' switch.
The Maple neck plays very well, with what feels like a slim 'D' profile filling the hand nicely for a smooth and responsive playing experience across the register. Moderately-sized, the neck feels practical for both chordal and melodic playing styles and provides easy reach for those tricky chord voicings and big stretches. The Rosewood of the fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, possessing a tight grain for a durable playing surface which will surely stand the test of time. The smooth lines and generous cutaways of the Stratocaster body are as comfortable in the arms as ever whilst providing unrestricted access to the upper frets.
The pickups in this guitar offer a great versatile sound, they produce a mixture of sparkly tones with a hint of a darker undertones, whilst retaining clarity with each note. The DiMarzio 'HM' humbucker in the bridge provides a full driving mid range with the best natural harmonic overtones, and a top end that produces a crunchy edge. The DiMarzio single-coil in the middle position produces a smooth single coil sound with more output and more mids, providing bright trebles and full warm bass, and lends itself well to rhythm tones. The DiMarzio single-coil in the neck position provides a warm, rounded sound, offering a smooth tone that handles distorted tones as well as it handles clean tones, whilst the neck-on switch allows the user to get even more tones out of the pickup configuration, adding extra versatility for the player to explore.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition, the front face demonstrates some light indentation, particularly next to the "Original contour body" decal. The edges of the headstock demonstrate consistent indentation around the perimeter, chipping the finish towards the top edges. Some of these markings continue on to the front and rear faces. Some age related discoloration is apparent.
Neck: Overall very good condition, the rear of the neck demonstrates light indentation throughout the register which is difficult to discern beneath the thumb and is visible only under direct lighting at certain angles. The serial number has been sanded off, this has removed the finish leaving a small section of wood exposed.
Body: Overall very good condition, the front face demonstrates some moderate indentation around the jack socket, the worst of these piercing the finish. A similar indentation can be identified towards the bass side waist. The sides and edges demonstrate similar markings, most consistently to the treble side waist where a patch of indentations pierce the finish. All aspects of the body demonstrate consistent very light scratching visible only under direct lighting at certain angles.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate moderate signs of use with flattening of the crowns apparent throughout the register. This does not affect playability. There is a small amount of material remaining for future fret work.
