Here for sale we have a Fender Lincoln Brewster Stratocaster in Aztec Gold finish. Something of a musical prodigy, Lincoln Brewster began with drums at age one, and by age five had mastered the mandolin. At age 12 he was playing guitar in a band with his mother. By age 19 and living in LA, Lincoln was offered a record contract. Feeling emptiness in his life at the time, he was drawn to the power of the Lord and decided to dedicate his life to the Church. He has released 10 Christian albums to date, and became the Worship Pastor at Bayside Church in 1999. Fender introduced his signature Stratocaster in 2019.
Made in the USA in 2019, this guitar of course features a bolt-on construction comprising an Ash body, Maple neck and 22 fret Map[le fingerboard. Chrome hardware is fitted including a 2-point tremolo bridge with bent steel saddles & pop-in arm and Gotoh vintage-style locking tuning machines. A trio of DiMarzio pickups are installed, with Area 58 single-coils in the neck and middle positions, and an Area 61 in the bridge. These are wired to an on-board active preamp with a 5-way blade switch, master volume with push/pull boost control, mid boost control on tone 1 and bridge tone control on tone 2.
The Maple neck plays very well. The Soft 'V' profile fills the hand nicely without feeling at all cumbersome, inspiring a confident grip for both chordal & melodic playing. The 'V' profile is often overlooked these days with the prevalence of 'Modern C', 'Low Oval' & SlimTaper profiles. This is a shame as it's a highly ergonomic profile which lends itself well to a variety of playing styles and techniques whilst carrying a vintage vibe which adds real character to the instrument. The compound fingerboard radius and Medium Jumbo frets on this instrument ensure that both lead and rhythm playing is well accommodated, with roundness in the lower register for comfort when chord playing. This gradually gives way to a rather flat 14" in the higher register which is perfect for fast playing and string bending. Paired with the larger frets, this guitar is perfect for the contemporary player.
Amplified, the Lincoln Brewster Stratocaster delivers powerful, vintage style-tones without any of the hum often associated with single-coils. The neck position is round and smooth, working well for lead tones. The middle pickup delivers great funk & blues sounds, whilst the bridge position is nicely bright & hot for rock rhythm players. The on-board preamp adds an on-board boost whilst allowing you to dial in the perfect level of mids with the control on tone 1. This is a seriously cool Strat with standout looks, ideal playability features, great tones & a unique preamp & control system which will allow you to achieve a wide variety of tones right on the instrument.
Please be aware that for international buyers import fees are not included in our postage and packaging cost, this only covers the cost of the guitar being sent to you. Import fees will be charged by Customs upon the guitar's arrival in the recipient country. Due to Brexit, this also applies to EU buyers. We advise checking the total import cost with Customs as this is not information we are able to accurately provide.
