Here for sale we have an absolutely gorgeous Fender JV Modified '60s Custom Telecaster in Firemist Gold finish. The new Fender Japan Vintage series was introduced in 2022 as a blend of vintage & modern features for the discerning contemporary player. Naturally a bolt-on construction is employed and comprises a Basswood body, Maple neck & 21 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Nickel hardware is fitted including a 3-Saddle Vintage Style Tele bridge with Brass barrel saddles & a set of Vintage-Style locking tuning machines. A pair of Fender Japan Vintage-Style Telecaster single-coil pickups are installed, & are wired to a 4-way blade switch which offers both pickups in either series or parallel modes, master volume & master tone controls, with a push/pull phase reverse function on the tone knob. 
 
The Maple neck plays very well, with the Thick Soft 'V' profile offering a substantial yet easily manageable grip across the register, well suited to a wide range of playing styles & techniques. The 'V' profile is often overlooked amongst all the Modern & Even 'C' shapes which are ubiquitous today. This is a shame as it's a highly ergonomic profile which delivers comfort & practicality as well as a playing experience which feels unique & vintage inspired. The Rosewood of the fretboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with the more modern 9'5" radius is well suited to both rhythm playing & lead techniques. The smooth lines of the Tele body are as comfortable as ever, whilst the double-binding adds a touch of style & class. 
 
Amplified, the pair of Fender Japan Vintage-Style Telecaster single-coils deliver classic Telecaster tones by the bucketload, with smooth roundness in the neck position & plenty of Tele 'Twang' in the bridge. The addition of the 4th switching position allows you to hear the pickups in series, which produces a thicker tone which works great for rock sounds. The push/pull tone control adds further versatility by allowing you to reverse the phase of the pickups when both are engaged, allowing you to achieve some funky 'quacky' tones or even clean up your tone by reducing the overall output. A seriously cool & typically well-made instrument from Fender Japan.
