Here for sale we have a Fender Jaguar Bass in Cobalt Blue finish. Made in Japan between 2007-2010, this bass features a bolt-on construction Alder body, Gloss finished Maple neck and topped with a 20 Medium Jumbo fret Rosewood fingerboard with aged pearloid block inlays. The hardware featured on this bass consists of a vintage-style top-loading bridge and a set of Vintage Style tuning machines. A pair of Fender Jaguar single-coils pickups, these are wired to standard Jaguar controls.

The Maple neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the ‘C’ profile allowing for comfortable reach in all registers and promoting ergonomic thumb positioning, whilst the Gloss finish is fantastic for smooth, quick transitions up and down the neck. The Rosewood fingerboard feels pleasant under the fingers, whilst the 7.25” radius and Medium Jumbo frets allow for ease of different techniques such as slap bass or chordal playing. The body design and contoured body design allows the player to have unobstructed access to the entire register, whilst also making longer durations of playing a comfortable experience.

The Fender Jaguar pickups deliver classic original-era tone and power, with smooth rounded lows, clear and open mid range and a sweet treble response that captures the attack and aggression of your playing. The control layout offers comprehensive control of your sound, the bass/treble boost rollers and an on/off switch located on the top control panel activates active/passive controls. When the active is engaged it provides a dynamic and more touch sensitive response to the player's touch. The lower control panel holds on/off switches for each of the pickups, and a switch to toggle between parallel and series wiring of the pickups, offering a wide selection of tonal options for the player to explore. Finally, the master control panel holds the master volume and master tone controls offering simplicity, ensuring that you can stay focused on your playing whilst still offering comprehensive control of your tone.

    Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall very good condition, the top edge demonstrates consistent light to moderate indentation, piercing the finish in places. These markings continue to a lesser degree around the treble side edge. Some paint transfer and scuffing is also apparent. The rear face demonstrates two moderate indentations that crack but do not chip the finish. The front face demonstrates light scratching and indentation across the entire face, visible only under direct lighting at certain angles.

Neck: Overall very good condition, finish cracking is apparent at the seam between the "skunk stripe" and the surrounding maple neck. This is quite common due to differing contraction & expansion rates of the woods used. It does not pose structural concern. Very light indentation is apparent throughout the rear of the neck slightly discernible beneath the thumb. This is most apparent behind the 12th fret.

Body: Overall very good condition, all aspects of the body demonstrate consistent light to moderate scratching, scuffing and indentation. The most notable markings are as follows. The front face demonstrates a moderate indentation piercing the finish towards the bottom edge. The treble side edge of the lower bout demonstrates consistent scuffing and indentation, with a notable scratch apparent to the bass side horn. The rear face demonstrates moderate buckle rash that causes a change in texture and appearance to the finish.

    Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for future fret work.

    Current Set Up:

Hardware: Fully functional with moderate signs of wear.

Structural: No concerns or issues to note.

Height of the string from the 12th Fret-2mm - Bass 2.5mm

Please be aware that the action on a guitar may move slightly in transit and this measurement is the current height.

    Strings on Guitar - 45-100

Electrics: Fully functional. When not making contact with the strings or any other metal parts, a loud buzzing is apparent. The circuitry has been checked and all grounds are connected adequately. This is exacerbated when the active circuit is engaged. This may be resolvable with shielding however we cannot guarantee this.
