Here for sale we have a Fender Highway One Stratocaster in Honey Blonde finish. Made in the USA in 2004, this guitar features a bolt-on construction comprising an Alder body, Maple neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include upgraded Grover Locking tuners, an upgraded Wilkinson Tremolo bridge, and a set of three Hot Alnico III single coil pickups. These pickups are wired to a master volume (push/push neck-on switch), neck tone, middle tone, and a 5-way pickup selector.
The Maple neck plays very well, with Fender's popular Modern 'C' profile feeling fluid in the hand and providing comfortable playability in all registers. The 9.5" fingerboard radius strikes fine balance between vintage-inspired feel and practicality for modern techniques. This is enhanced further by medium jumbo frets which improve the feel of string bending and vibrato techniques. The familiar lines of the Stratocaster body are as comfortable in the arms as ever, whilst the naturally aged thin lacquer finish feels smooth to the touch and adds authenticity to the vintage vibe of the instrument.
The trio of Hot Alnico III single-coils installed in the Highway One deliver traditional Stratocaster sounds, with vintage accurate control wiring that continues the overall theme of the instrument. The warmth of the neck position is nicely contrasted by the brightness found in the bridge, whilst the often overlooked middle pickup provides all of the funky sounds you could possibly need. The famous Strat 'Honk' sounds are present in positions 2 & 4, completing a traditional but versatile as ever package of sounds for the modern player.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition. The front face demonstrates an indentation below the G string winding post, revealing the wood beneath slightly. Light indentation is present to the treble side front face edge towards the headstock tip, this can be felt beneath the fingertip on inspection but has not removed the finish. The treble side rear face edge demonstrates a small area of cracking that has not removed any of the finish. Light finish cracking is apparent surrounding the rear of the tuning machines where the original screws were placed.
Neck: Overall very good condition. The rear of the neck demonstrates some light cracking to the finish that can be felt beneath the fingertip on inspection, but does not affect the neck's playability. The fingerboard demonstrates light indentation in some areas, most notably to the 14th fret between the B and E strings. These cannot be felt beneath the string when in playing position and do not affect playability.
Body: Overall very good condition. The body displays light to moderate signs of wear, as if a previous owner has attempted to relic the instrument. All faces demonstrate light scratching throughout, with several areas demonstrating chips to the finish that reveal the wood beneath. Most notably to the front face of the lower bout contour, the rear and side face near the rear strap button and rear face of the upper horn.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate light signs of use, with mild denting in the early register, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for future fret work.
