Here for sale we have a Fender Deluxe Stratocaster HSS in Candy Apple Red finish. Made in Mexico in 2018, this guitar features a bolt-on construction comprising an Alder Body, Maple neck and 22 fret Pau Ferro fingerboard. Nickel/Chrome hardware is fitted including a 2-point tremolo bridge and Fender Deluxe Sealed Locking tuning machines. A trio of Fender pickups are installed in an HSS configuration, with a Twin Head Vintage humbucker in the bridge and a Vintage Noiseless Strat Single-Coil in the neck and middle positions. These are wired to a 5-way blade switch, master volume, neck tone and middle tone controls, as well as an S-1 Switch on the volume pot which selects the rear coil of the bridge humbucker.
The Maple neck plays very well, with Fender's popular Modern 'C' profile filling the hand nicely for a substantial grip when chord playing, yet remaining slim enough for fast articulate playing. The Pau Ferro fretboard provides a smooth and durable playing surface, and with its 12" radius is well suited to lead lines and string bending. This paired with the medium jumbo frets ensures a playing experience which is perfect for the more technical Strat player. The Satin finish to the rear of the neck is pleasant to the touch and ensures that navigation of the 25.5" scale length is an absolute breeze, whilst the sculpted neck heel enhances access to the upper frets.
The trio of Fender pickups installed in this guitar deliver classic Stratocaster tones with some extra grunt from the humbucker in the bridge. The Vintage Noiseless single-coils installed in the neck and middle positions do exactly what they say on the tin, providing warm and rounded vintage tones without any unwanted hum. The S-1 Switch on the volume control allows the player to select the bridge coil of the humbucker for a more traditional Stratocaster sound. An incredibly well equipped Stratocaster which feels like a serious precision instrument.
