Here for sale we have a Fender Classic Series Stratocaster in 3-Colour Sunburst finish. Made in Mexico in 2003, this guitar features a bolt-on construction comprising an Alder body, Gloss Maple neck and 21 Vintage-Style fret Gloss Maple fingerboard. This guitar is equipped with a 6-Saddle Vintage-Style Synchronized Tremolo with Vintage-Style Stamped Steel saddles, as well as Fender Vintage-Style Split-Post tuning machines. A trio of Fender Vintage-Style Strat Single-Coil pickups are installed, these are wired to a 5-way blade switch, master volume, neck and middle tone controls.
The Gloss Maple neck plays very well, with the ‘C’ profile sitting very comfortably in the hand and promotes ergonomic hand positioning, feeling smooth whilst providing an articulate playing experience. The Maple fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers and offers a tactile and durable playing surface, with the 7.25" radius working in conjunction with the Vintage-Style frets to produce an authentically vintage playing experience, allowing for vibrato techniques and complex chordings to be played with ease.
The Fender Vintage-Style Strat Single-Coil pickups provide all the classic Stratocaster tones that you could wish for. The bridge pickup provides bright and glistening trebles with plenty of spank, power chords sound gritty, whilst also providing soaring lead tones. However, with subtler amp settings the bridge offers a bright, glassy clean tone. The middle pickup produces bright trebles and full warm bass, and lends itself well to rhythm tones. The neck pickup has rounded creamer tones great for chordal phrasings or quick jazz style lines, whilst also handling higher gain settings masterfully, offering plenty of room for tonal sculpting.

Aesthetic Condition:
Overall very good condition. The front face demonstrates light scratching throughout, only visible under direct light at certain angles, as is common on gloss finishes. The top edge demonstrates an indentation near the high E tuning machine that has pierced the finish slightly to reveal the wood beneath. Indentation is present to the bass side of the headstock cutaway and near the nut, removing the finish slightly to reveal the wood beneath.
Overall very good condition. The rear of the neck demonstrates light scratching and indentation throughout. Most notably an indentation to the treble side of the 8th fret and bass side of the 14th. These can be felt beneath the fingertip upon inspection but cannot be felt by the hand in playing position. The fingerboard demonstrates an indentation to the treble side of the 13th fret. Smaller, less significant indentations are apparent to the bass side of the 5th and treble side of the 4th frets. These cannot be felt in the playing position.
Overall good condition. The body demonstrates mild to moderate scratching, scuffing and indentations throughout. Most notably an indentation to the tip of the treble side horn, and numerous indentations to the treble side edge of the lower bout. These have significantly cracked, but not removed any of the finish. Further indentation can be found on the top edge of the upper horn. A hardened residue is apparent to the bottom of the input jack plate that could not be removed during our cleaning process.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate notable signs of use, not affecting playability. Denting and flattening of the frets is apparent throughout the register. Oxidisation is apparent to the fret ends. There is moderate material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (flat head driver) not included,
Hardware: Fully functional and good condition. Moderate tarnishing is apparent to the tuners and bridge. A previous owner has replaced all of the plastic hardware with Black plastics, the original plastics are not included. Tremolo arm not included.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
