Here for sale we have a Fender Classic Series ‘72 Telecaster Custom Electric Guitar in Black finish. Made in Mexico in 2002, this bolt-on constructed instrument consists of an Alder body, a Maple neck, and a 22 Vintage-Style fret Maple fingerboard. Other features include a 6-saddle Ashtray Strings-Through-Body Tele bridge, Skirted Amp control knobs, and Fender Vintage “F” Stamped tuning machines. A Fender Wide-Range Humbucking pickup is fitted in the neck whilst a Standard Single-Coil Tele pickup is fitted in the bridge, these are wired to a 3-way pickup selector and independent volume and tone controls.
The Maple neck plays well, with Fender's popular 'C' profile providing a substantial feel whilst remaining slim enough for articulate playing. The Gloss finish to the rear is pleasant to the touch and assists with smooth navigation of the 25.5" scale. The Maple fingerboard is very bright, and with its 7.25" radius delivers a suitably vintage-inspired playing experience further enhanced by the Vintage Style frets. The 6-saddle Adjustable Bridge with Bigsby tailpiece is a welcome addition, ensuring accurate intonation and action with plenty of adjustability.
The Fender pickups installed in this guitar deliver all of the Telecaster tones you know and love but with more kick than you would expect! The Fender Wide Range Humbucker pickup gives a nice balanced tone while the bridge pickup is where this guitar really comes alive though, with a bright, searing bite and buckets of Tele 'Twang' that will catapult you to the front of any mix. The unobtrusive controls are nicely responsive, allowing you to sculpt your sound easily on the guitar without getting in the way of your playing.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition, the top edges demonstrate consistent light to moderate indentations, piercing the finish slightly. The front face demonstrates light scratching, visible only under direct lighting at certain angles.
Neck: Overall excellent condition, all aspects of the neck and fingerboard demonstrate very light scratching and indentation visible only under direct lighting at certain angles.
Body: Overall very good condition, the front face demonstrates light to moderate scratching, most consistent along the lower bout behind the bridge, likely due to adjusting the intonation with the incorrect screwdriver. Light indentations and scratching have pierced the finish slightly to the edges, most notably to the bass side waist and shoulder. The rear demonstrates light indentations and scratching across the lower bout, visible only under direct lighting at certain angles.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate moderate signs of use, with moderate indentations in the early register and slight flattening of the crowns throughout, not affecting playability. There is moderate material remaining for future fret work.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (1/8" hex) not included.
Hardware: Fully functional with moderate signs of use. The original bridge and saddles have been replaced. Originals included. The low E ferrule for the tuning post has been replaced, this is not an exact match and does not fit perfectly however this does not affect functionality.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.75mm - Bass 2mm
