Fender American Vintage II ‘61 Stratocaster Fiesta Red 2023 Electric Guitar
Here for sale we have a Fender American Vintage II ‘61 Stratocaster Electric Guitar in Fiesta Red finish. Made in the USA in 2023, this bolt-on neck constructed guitar consists of an Alder body, a Maple neck, and a 21-fret Slab Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include a Pure Vintage Synchronized Tremolo with Bent Steel Saddles, Pure Vintage Single Line "Fender Deluxe" tuners, and a set of Pure Vintage '61 Single-Coil Strat pickups that are wired to a master volume, neck/middle tone control, a bridge tone control, and a 5-way pickup selector.
 
The Maple neck plays very well, with the 1961 'C' Shape profile feeling nicely slim in the hand and providing effortless playability in all registers. Certainly, the profile is slimmer than many modern Fender necks, and helps to facilitate fast and articulate lead lines. The Gloss finish to the rear of the neck is glass-like to the touch and really helps with smooth navigation of the 25.5" scale. The Slab Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with a period-correct 7.25" radius and vintage-style frets ensures an authentically vintage playing experience across the neck. The smooth lines of the Stratocaster body are as comfortable in the arms as ever, ensuring comfort in both standing and seated positions. 
 
The trio of Pure Vintage '61 Single-Coil Strat single-coils installed in this guitar deliver authentic vintage-inspired tones thanks to their period accurate specification. Pole pieces are hand bevelled and staggered for a balanced output, whilst Alnico V magnets and Formvar magnet wire are employed to produce a bright, glassy tone. Even the vintage-correct cloth wiring is used for a truly authentic tone. The neck is warm and round, with all of the power needed to push your solos to the front of the mix. The middle is punchy and clear for those funky tones, whilst the bridge produces a searing output for bright and focussed rock rhythm tones. This is a fantastically authentic vintage-inspired piece that will age very gracefully.

    Aesthetic Condition:

    Headstock: Overall excellent condition. Light indentations and scuff markings are present to the top edge of the headstock, these can only be seen at close scrutiny under direct light. Light 'nitro Checking' is present to all aspects of the headstock, this is common with nitrocellulose finishes.

    Neck: Overall excellent condition. Light 'nitro Checking' is present to all aspects of the neck heel, this is common with nitrocellulose finishes. All other aspects of the neck and fingerboard display light signs of past use.

    Body: Overall very good condition . Light to mild indentations are present to the body, the most apparent of these can be seen to the treble side lower bout edge and to the front face bass side lower bout, these have lightly exposed the wood beneath. Light scratching and scuff markings are present to all aspects of the body, the most apparent can be seen to the rear face lower bout edge, all of these can only be seen under direct light. A chip to the finish can be seen to the bass side of the neck plate, this has exposed the wood beneath.

     

    Condition of Frets:

    The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability.  There is moderate material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.

     

    Current Set Up:

    Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (Flathead Driver) not included.

    Hardware: Overall excellent condition. Light scratching is present to the pick guard, these can only be seen under direct light. Light cracking can be seen to the corners of the back plate, these remain stable. Tremolo arm included.

    Structural: No concerns or issues to note.

    Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.75mm - Bass 2mm
