Here for sale we have a Fender American Vintage 1975 Jazz Bass in Natural finish. Manufactured in the US in 2003, this bass presents an accurate take on a classic bass which has earned itself a place in the upper echelons of previous Fender models. This bass features a bolt on neck construction with a 3-Bolt Neck Plate with Micro-Til Adjustment, comprising an Ash body, a 1-Piece Maple neck, and a 20-fret Maple fingerboard. So that it can offer the most authentic vintage experience, this bass comes with a American Vintage ‘70s Jazz Bass bridge with Single Groove Saddles, Vintage ‘70s "Fender" Stamped Open Gear Tuning Machines, and a pair of ‘75 Vintage Jazz Bass Single-Coil Pickups, wired to independent volume controls and a master tone control.
The Maple neck plays very comfortably, with the ‘70s ‘C’ profile filling the hand assuringly while still allowing for comfortable reach in all registers and promoting ergonomic thumb positioning. The narrow nut width of the Jazz makes it a breeze to play and makes for an extremely comfortable and easy playing experience. The double cutaway body design offers extended access into the upper register. This works well with the Gloss finish to the rear of the neck, allowing for smooth navigation of the 34” scale. The Vintage style fret wire combined with the 7.25” radius makes for a great feel under the fingers, and provides the versatility required for a wide range of styles and techniques.
The tone of the Vintage Jazz Bass Single-Coil Pickups are exactly what you would expect from such a traditional design, with a pleasing array of tonal options available. The single coil pickup in the bridge position delivers a vintage flavour with a snappy response and a defined top. The single coil in the neck position delivers a vintage Fender ‘Thump’ which is both powerful and clear. Independent volume controls allow for the pickups to be blended together to unlock a palette of tonal options. No matter the settings each note across the entire fretboard is articulated and balanced with no muddiness in the lower registers and a punchy timbre across all notes. The simplicity of the controls ensure that you can stay focused on your playing whilst still offering comprehensive control of your tone.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock:
Overall very good condition. All aspects of the headstock demonstrate light indentations, particularly to the front face beneath the G & D strings , the treble side edges of the headstock and to the rear of the headstock at the beginning of the neck carve. None are significant or break the finish.
Neck:
Overall very good condition. Similarly to the headstock the rear of the neck demonstrates very light indentations throughout the register, most notably between the 10th and 12th fret on the bass side. These can be felt but not particularly in a playing position. A moderate scratch is apparent to the end of the fingerboard.
Body:
Overall very good condition, two spots on the front face demonstrate very consistent light scratching causing a matte texture and hazing of the finish under certain lighting. This is apparent on both sides of the bridge pickup, consistent with the use of the plectrum. The bottom edges demonstrate light indentation that does not pierce the finish. The rear face demonstrates light scratching to the center of the face visible only under direct lighting at certain angles.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate moderate signs of wear, with indentation and flattening of the crowns visible throughout the register. This does not affect playability. There is some material remaining for future fret work.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (1/8" hex) not included.
Hardware: fully functional with light signs of wear. The original bridge cover and pickup cover are included but not installed. The control plate demonstrates signs of previous use, as does the pickguard.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
Height of the string from the 12th Fret-2mm - Bass 2.5mm

Original G&G Fender Hard Case.
The case demonstrates notable staining to the exterior that we have been unable to remove. One latch doesn't spring out when unlocked but does work.
The bass includes the original manual and string tage along with the uninstalled string mute strip. The original pickup covers are included however have not yet been installed.
