Here for sale we have a Fender American Vintage '52 Telecaster Electric Guitar in Butterscotch Blonde finish. Made in the USA in 2005, this guitar features a bolt-on construction comprising an Ash body, Maple neck and 21-fret Maple fingerboard. Other appointments include Fender Vintage-Style tuners, a 3-barrel brass saddle ashtray bridge, and a set of Fender American Vintage Telecaster single-coil pickups. These are wired to a 3-way blade switch, master volume & master tone controls.

Fender's Vintage line was initially released in 1982, in some respects to improve the reputation of poor quality that Fender had been becoming known for during the '70s under CBS' ownership. The series harked back to what was viewed as Fender's heyday, and was successful in improving player's view of the brand's quality. After Fender was sold by CBS in 1985, there was a short hiatus in production of the model whilst FMIC set up their new factory. In 1998, the series was updated with new models added. This 2nd generation is the one that this example comes from, being made in 2005.

The 'U' shape neck profile is comfortable in the hand, and delivers a playing experience which is suitably vintage-inspired. In conjunction with the traditional 7.25" radius and vintage-style frets, it has to be said that the neck feels akin to many genuine vintage Teles; substantial and dependable without feeling cumbersome. The Premium Ash body adds a certain heft to the instrument which improves the sense of authentic vintage-feel that this instrument exudes - not to mention the attractive grain peeping through the Blonde finish.

The guitar comes fitted with two Fender American Vintage ‘52 Single-Coil pickups that have been voiced to sound just like the original pickups would have in the guitar that you would have bought in 1952. The bridge pickup has that delightful bite and twang that you would expect with plenty of spank for when you want that true country sound. The neck pickup has a beautiful warmth to it that is silky smooth and perfect for rhythm playing and solos alike.  The controls are nice and responsive, and allow you to dial in your perfect tone right on the instrument. A well-regarded reissue guitar which is now over 20 years old itself.

Please be aware that for international buyers import fees are not included in our postage and packaging cost, this only covers the cost of the guitar being sent to you. Import fees will be charged by Customs upon the guitar's arrival in the recipient country. Due to Brexit, this also applies to EU buyers. We advise checking the total import cost with Customs as this is not information we are able to accurately provide.
