Here for sale we have a Fender American Ultra Telecaster in Cobra Blue finish. The American Ultra series was at the time of release Fender's most advanced offering, laser-focussed on high-performance features and surgical precision for the discerning musician. Released in 2019 and eventually replaced by the Ultra II series in 2024, these instruments represent the culmination of everything Fender has learned over the years, in a host of striking new finishes. 
 
Made in the USA in 2020, this instrument of course features a bolt-on construction comprising an Alder body, Maple neck and 22 fret Maple fingerboard. Nickel/Chrome hardware is fitted including a 6-Saddle American Tele bridge with Chromed Brass saddles Fender Deluxe Sealed/Locking tuning machines with short posts. A pair of Fender Ultra Noiseless Vintage Tele single-coil pickups are installed, and are wired to a 3-way toggle switch, master volume & master tone controls, with an S-1 switch in the volume control which engages series wiring mode in the middle position. 
 
The Maple neck plays exceptionally well, with Fender's Modern 'D' profile delivering supreme comfort and smooth playability across the register. The compound fingerboard radius is highly practical, offering comfort for chord playing in the lower register and transitioning smoothly to a flatter radius as you climb to the upper frets for precise lead playing. The sculpted neck joint offers arguably the best upper fret access Fender have ever achieved, and along with the Medium Jumbo fret wire for enhanced vibrato and string bending, this is a serious tool for the serious musician. 
 
The American Ultra Telecaster sports Fender's Ultra Noiseless Vintage Tele Single Coil pickups that sound traditional without all of the associated noise and interference. The tone is crisp and clear with all of the twang that you’d expect. If you’re looking for vintage Tele tones but with modern playability the American Ultra is the one for you. The addition of the S-1 switch unlocks the ability to use both pickups in either series or parallel mode when in the middle position. The series mode can function as an on-board boost as the signal from both pickups is combined. The volume & tone controls are nicely responsive, allowing you to dial in the perfect tone whilst playing. A fabulous instrument which gently improves upon the already winning Telecaster recipe.
