Here for sale we have a left handed Fender American Standard Telecaster in Black finish. Made in the USA in 1997, this guitar of course features a bolt-on construction comprising an Alder body, Maple neck and 22 fret Maple fingerboard. Chrome hardware is fitted including a 6-saddle American Tele thru-body bridge with Chromed brass saddles & Fender/Schaller Deluxe sealed tuning machines. A pair of Fender American Standard Tele Single-Coil pickups are installed, and are wired to a 3-way blade switch, master volume & master tone controls.
The Maple neck plays very well, with a profile which might be described as a moderately-sized 'C' shape. This is comfortable in the hand, and provides a smooth and responsive playing experience across the register. Big stretches and articulate lead lines are just as well catered for as chord playing, with enough substance to the neck to inspire confidence when playing rhythm parts. The 9.5" fingerboard radius is paired with medium jumbo frets to ensure that string bending & vibrato techniques feel rock-solid & smooth.
The American Standard Tele Single-Coil pickups installed in this guitar deliver the classic Telecaster tones that have been a staple of modern music for decades. There is plenty of roundness and warmth in the neck and cutting, trebly 'Tele Twang' in the bridge. Clean sounds are glassy and shimmering, whilst driving the amp offers some searing crunch tones. The familiar Telecaster control layout offers comprehensive control of your sound right on the guitar. Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition. The tip of the headstock demonstrates light indentation that does not pierce the finish. A small spot of discoloration is apparent to the rear face towards the neck & bass side rear corner, likely where the guitar has been in contact with a hanger.
Neck: Overall very good condition. The fingerboard demonstrates some degree of finish delamination throughout the register, particularly along the bass side edge where several chips to the finish reveal the wood beneath. Some of the fingerboard inlays have partially clouded over as a result of this. This delamination is typical for American Fenders of this era. The rear of the neck demonstrates light indentation throughout the register, visible only under direct lighting at certain angles and difficult to discern beneath the thumb.
Body: Overall very good condition, all aspects of the body demonstrate light yet consistent
scratching throughout, most notable on the lower bout of both the front and rear face. This is visible only under direct lighting at certain angles. The edges demonstrate light indentation, piercing the finish slightly towards the jack socket.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate moderate signs of use with some flattening of the crowns apparent throughout the register, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for future fret work.

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (1/8" hex) not included.
Hardware: Fully functional with light signs of use.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.75mm - Bass 2mm
