Here for sale we have a Fender American Standard Stratocaster in Charcoal Frost Metallic finish. Made in the USA in 2008, this guitar features a bolt-on construction comprising an Alder body, Maple neck & 22 fret Maple fingerboard. Chrome hardware is fitted including a 2-point synchronized tremolo bridge & Fender Deluxe Staggered tuning machines. A trio of Van Zandt Stratocaster pickups have been installed by a previous owner, and are wired to the original controls, with a 5-way blade switch, neck tone & middle/bridge no-load tone.
The Maple neck plays very well, with the Modern ‘C’ profile sitting very comfortably in the hand and promoting ergonomic thumb positioning in all registers. The finish to the rear feels smooth whilst providing an articulate playing experience. The Maple fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers and offers a tactile and durable playing surface right up to the 22nd fret. The 9.5" radius works in conjunction with the Medium Jumbo frets to produce a rock solid playing surface which is practical for string bending, vibrato techniques and complex chord voicings alike.
The Van Zandt Stratocaster Single-Coils pickups deliver all the classic Stratocaster tones that you could wish for. The bridge pickup provides bright and glistening trebles with plenty of spank, Power chords and riffs sound gritty, whilst lead tones are crisp and clear. However, with subtler amp settings the bridge offers a bright, glassy clean tone. The middle pickup produces bright trebles and full warm bass, and lends itself well to funky rhythm tones. The neck pickup is round and powerful, great for chordal phrasings or quick jazz style lines, whilst also handling higher gain settings masterfully. The No-Load tone control is notched at '10', where it is completely removed from the circuit to ensure the tone from your pickups is completely unfettered.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall good condition. The edges of the headstock demonstrate some chipping and indentation along the top edge of the front face. The most notable indentation is at the rear edge towards the tip. This has removed the finish to reveal the wood beneath. The front face shows light to mild scratching when viewed under direct light.
Neck: Overall very good condition. The fingerboard demonstrates some delamination of the finish in the high register. The finish has chipped off the fret end at the treble side of the 8th fret, leaving a small patch of exposed wood which can be lightly felt in the playing position. The rear of the neck has been lightly sanded by a previous owner to achieve a satin finish. As such, very light sanding marks are visible under close inspection, and a very slight colour change visible at the rear of the 1st fret.
Body: Overall good condition. All aspects of the body demonstrate mild to moderate scratching and indentation. Consistent indentation is concentrated around the lower bout, some revealing the wood beneath, such as at the bass side lower bout at the forearm contour, the treble side lower bout sides and at the treble side waist. The most notable scratching is to the rear face consistent with playwear.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate moderate signs of use, not affecting playability. Light denting is present to the early register and flattening of the frets is apparent throughout. There is light material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform. The fret ends demonstrate moderate oxidation.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (1/8" hex) not included.
Hardware: Very good condition with light to mild scratching & tarnishing of the metal hardware.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm
