Here for sale we have a Fender American Special Stratocaster in Walnut. Made in 2018 in the USA this guitar features an Alder body fitted with 6-Saddle Vintage-Style Synchronized Tremolo, Maple neck with Large ‘70s Style headstock and Fender Standard cast tuning machines and 22 fret Maple fingerboard. A trio of Custom Shop Texas Special singlecoils are fitted and wired to a 5-way pickup selector, master volume, Neck/Middle and Bridge tone with Greasebucket tone circuit.
The Maple neck plays very well, with Fender's popular Modern 'C' profile feeling very comfortable in the hand and offering easy reach in all registers. The Satin finish to the rear of the neck ensures smooth transitions into any register, making navigation of the 25.5" scale a breeze. The 9.5" fingerboard radius provides a fine balance between comfortable chord playing and modern practicality for string bending techniques. This is accentuated by the Jumbo frets which offer enhanced vibrato and string bending techniques, as well as a rock solid playing surface.
The trio of Fender Custom Shop Texas Special Strat single-coil pickups deliver warm, vintage-inspired tones, perfect for bluesy riffing and SRV style licks. Indeed, these are the same pickups you will find in the Custom Shop SRV Stratocaster. Enamel-coated wire, alnico V magnets and staggered pole-pieces work in conjunction with a reverse-wound middle pickup and overwound output for a seriously warm, hot and well balanced output, with a midrange bite, crystalline highs and tight bass response. Fender's Greasebucket tone circuit eliminates the issue of adding bass when rolling down your tone control; simply dialling back the top end without beefing up your lows.
