Here for sale we have a Fender American Series Stratocaster Electric Guitar in Gloss Black finish. Made in the USA in 2001, this guitar consists of an Alder body, a Maple neck and a 22 Medium Jumbo fret Maple fingerboard. Chrome hardware is fitted, including a 2-point synchronized tremolo bridge and a set of Fender Deluxe Staggered tuning machines. A trio of American Single-Coil Strat pickups are installed, and are wired to a 5-way blade switch, master volume, neck tone and middle/bridge tone controls.
The Maple neck plays very well, with the Modern ‘C’ profile sitting very comfortably in the hand and promoting ergonomic thumb positioning in all registers. The Satin finish to the rear feels smooth whilst providing an articulate playing experience. The Maple fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers and offers a tactile and durable playing surface, with the 9.5" radius working in conjunction with the Medium Jumbo frets to produce a rock solid playing surface which is practical for string bending, vibrato techniques and complex chord voicings alike.
The Fender American Single-Coil Strat pickups deliver all the classic Stratocaster tones that you could wish for. The bridge pickup provides bright and glistening trebles with plenty of spank, Power chords and riffs sound gritty, whilst lead tones are crisp and clear. However, with subtler amp settings the bridge offers a bright, glassy clean tone. The middle pickup produces bright trebles and full warm bass, and lends itself well to rhythm tones. The neck pickup is round and powerful, great for chordal phrasings or quick jazz style lines, whilst also handling higher gain settings masterfully.
Please be aware that for international buyers import fees are not included in our postage and packaging cost, this only covers the cost of the guitar being sent to you. Import fees will be charged by Customs upon the guitar's arrival in the recipient country. Due to Brexit, this also applies to EU buyers. We advise checking the total import cost with Customs as this is not information we are able to accurately provide.

Aesthetic Condition:
Overall very good condition. Light to mild indentations are present to the edges of the headstock with the most apparent being seen to the top tip edge where the indentation has caused white discolouration. Another noticeable indentation can be seen and felt to the rear of the headstock near the nut, this has lightly pierced the lacquer finish. Light lacquer checking is present to all aspects of the headstock which do not expose the wood beneath, this is common with Fender guitars from this era.
Overall very good condition. Light to mild lacquer checking is present to both the rear of the neck and fingerboard throughout, these can be felt in the playing position most noticeably to the bass side of the 2nd fret where the wood has been exposed, this is common with Fender guitars from this era. Finish delamination is apparent to the dot inlays.
Overall very good condition. Light to mild indentations are present to all aspects of the body, the most apparent being seen to both the bass and treble lower bout edges where these have lightly pierced the finish but do not expose the wood beneath. A very light finish crack is present to the bass side of the neck pocket, this does not affect the structural integrity of the instrument and can only be seen under direct light. All aspects of the body display light to mild scratching visible under direct light, the most prominent of these can be seen scattered around the rear face consistent with past use.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. Light flattening of the crown is apparent throughout the register. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform. The lacquer finish which Fender apply over the frets has gradually chipped away with past use over time, this is common on Fenders of the era

The original is not included. Tremolo arm included.
