Here for sale we have a Fender American Elite Stratocaster HSS Shawbucker Electric Guitar in Olympic Pearl finish. Made in the USA in 2018, this instrument features a bolt-on construction comprising an Alder body, Maple neck and 22 fret Maple fingerboard. Chrome hardware is fitted including a 2-Point Synchronized tremolo with block saddles and Fender Deluxe locking tuners with short posts. The pickups are installed in an HSS configuration, with a Shawbucker in the bridge and two 4th Generation Noiseless single coils in the neck and middle positions. These are wired to a 5-way blade switch, master volume with S-1 switch, neck tone bridge/middle tone controls and a push/push 'Passing Lane' switch.
 
The neck plays fantastically well. The Modern 'C' to 'D' profile fills the hand and offers a comfortable chord playing in the lower register, moving smoothly towards a flatter profile as you climb the neck. This works in conjunction with the 9.5" - 14" compound radius to ensure that the playing experience is tailored to the needs of the player in all registers. The sculpted neck heel provides uninhibited access to the upper frets, whilst the use of Medium Jumbo fret wire ensures a rock-solid feel and enhanced string bending and vibrato techniques. The 2-point tremolo system with block saddles is nicely balanced, offering excellent usability whilst retaining dependable tuning stability and accurate intonation.
 
Fender has really pulled out all the stops when it comes to sonic options on this guitar. The HSS pickup configuration provides the best of humbucking and single-coil tones, whilst the S-1 and 'Passing Lane' switches add a plethora of alternative sounds. The S-1 switch selects series or parallel modes, even enabling all 3 pickups to be engaged simultaneously. The 'Passing Lane' switch sends the bridge pickup directly to the output, perfect for quickly switching to your rock rhythm sound. The Shawbucker in the bridge position delivers plenty of output for driving the amp into a full-bodied and rich distortion, whilst the 4th Generation Noiseless single-coils offer refined Strat sounds in the neck and middle. This is a professional level instrument for the musician who needs their guitar to be ready for wherever the gig takes them.
