Here for sale we have a Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster HSS Electric Guitar in Amber finish. Made in the USA in 2006, this instrument features a bolt-on construction comprising an Alder body, Maple neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Chrome hardware is fitted including a 2-point tremolo with block saddles and pop-in arm, LSR roller nut and Fender Deluxe sealed/staggered locking tuning machines. A trio of Fender pickups are installed in an HSS configuration, with a DH-1 humbucker in the bridge and two Hot Samarium Cobalt Noiseless Strat Single-Coils in the neck & middle positions. These are wired to a 5-way blade switch, master volume with S-1 switch, neck/middle tone and bridge tone controls.
The Maple neck plays very well, with Fender's popular Modern 'C' profile filling the hand comfortably for a substantial yet articulate playing experience across the register. The Maple fingerboard provides a smooth and durable playing surface, which with the traditional 9.5" radius is practical for a wide range of styles and playing techniques. Vibrato and string bending techniques are enhanced by the Medium Jumbo frets, whilst access to the upper frets is improved by the subtly sculpted neck heel.
Having always been a highly versatile instrument, the Stratocaster with HSS pickup configuration adds the grunt and power associated with a humbucking pickup. Certainly, the DH-1 in the bridge position delivers plenty of power for those distorted rhythm parts and heavy riffs. The pair of Samarium Cobalt Noiseless Strat single-coils in the neck and middle positions deliver crisp and clear tones which capture the spank and attack of your playing for accurate funky clean tones whilst remaining nicely balanced with the humbucker thanks to being wound so hot. The additional S-1 switch included with this guitar allows you to beef up the sound further, adding the middle pickup in position 1, north coil of the humbucker in position 4, full humbucker and neck pickup in position 3 and south coil of the humbucker in position 2. This means that all 3 pickups are engaged in position 3 for the thickest possible tone from a Strat.
