Here for sale we have a Fender 50th Anniversary American Stratocaster in Antique Sunburst finish. Made in the USA in 1996 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Fender's founding, this is guitar 1733 of a limited run of just 2500 instruments. Featuring a bolt-on construction comprising an Alder body with Quilted Maple veneer, Maple neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. This instrument is fitted with Gold hardware including 2 point synchronized tremolo bridge, Fender standard sealed tuning machines and commemorative 50th anniversary neckplate. The pickups in this particular guitar are a trio of Fender Vintage-Style single-coils, these are wired to a 5-way selector switch, master volume, middle tone and neck tone control.
The Maple neck plays exceptionally well. Carved into Fender's popular Modern 'C' profile, this neck feels very comfortable in the hand. Rounded shoulders allow easy access across the register, complimented well by the slimness of the neck which makes fast playing a breeze. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant to the touch, and with it's 9.5" radius offers a nice balance between comfortable chord playing and practicality for string bending. The Stratocaster body feels as great in the arms as ever, with large contours ensuring comfort on long playing sessions.
The trio of Fender Vintage-Style single-coils installed in this instrument deliver classic Stratocaster tone. The bridge pickup provides bright and glistening trebles with plenty of spank, power chords sound gritty, whilst also providing soaring lead tones. However, with subtler amp settings the bridge offers a bright, glassy clean tone. The middle pickup produces bright trebles and full warm bass, and lends itself well to rhythm tones. The neck pickup has rounded creamer tones great for chordal phrasings or quick jazz style lines, whilst also handling higher gain settings masterfully, offering plenty of room for tonal scaping.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall good condition. All aspects of the headstock demonstrate light cracking of the lacquer finish, this is a common occurrence with 90’s Fender guitars., with this indentations and scuff markings are also present, notably light scuff marks to the very tip that could not be removed during our cleaning process. The front face edge demonstrates an indentation in line with the B string tuner.
Neck: Overall good condition. The rear of the neck demonstrates delamination of the lacquer finish throughout, with a notable indentation in line with the 4th fret that can be felt by the hand in playing position.
Body: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the body demonstrate light scratching and indentations. Most notably an indentation to the rear face edge at the bass side lower bout, where the finish has been removed to reveal the wood beneath. Consistent scuff marks are apparent to the rear face edge of the lower bout.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate moderate signs of use, not affecting playability. Light denting is present to the early register and flattening of the frets is apparent throughout. There is moderate material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (1/8" hex) not included.
Hardware: Overall good condition and fully functional. All aspects of the metal hardware display mild to moderate tarnishing and oxidation of the Gold finish, the most apparent of these can be seen to the bass side of the bridge and saddle where the finish has almost been completely removed. Discolouration can be seen to the control knobs. Non-original tremolo arm included.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.

Fully functional.
Case & Accessories:
Semi functional and good condition. All aspects of the case demonstrate signs of previous use, with light scuffing and peeling to the outer. Moderate oxidisation is apparent to the clasps and handle hinges. Only the centre clasp works in securing the lid.
