Here for sale we have a Fender "10 for '15" Limited Edition American Standard Blackout Stratocaster Electric Guitar in Mystic Black finish. Back in 2015, Fender released the "10 for '15 Limited Edition Collection". This was a series of 10 guitars that were limited to 500 of each worldwide. The idea of this collection was to provide players and collectors with the opportunity to own guitars that had specifications that were unavailable in their product line at the time. This ranged from Ebony fingerboards on American Standard Stratocaster (like this Blackout Strat), to Surfboard-inspired Natural wood creations. 
 
Made in the USA in 2015, this guitar consists of an Alder body, a Maple neck, and a 22-fret Ebony fingerboard. Other appointments include a 2-Point Synchronized Tremolo bridge with Bent Steel Saddles, Deluxe Staggered Sealed tuners, and a thinner Undercoat finish for improved body resonance. The pickups installed in this guitar are two Custom Shop Fat '50s Single-Coil Strat pickups in the neck and middle position, and an aftermarket Seymour Duncan Hot Rail humbucker in the bridge position. These pickups are wired to a master volume, neck tone, a No-Load bridge and middle tone control, and a 5-way pickup selector. 
 
The Satin Urethane-finished Maple neck plays very well, with the Modern ‘C’ profile sitting very comfortably in the hand and promotes ergonomic hand positioning, feeling smooth whilst providing an articulate playing experience. The Ebony fingerboard is a very pleasant upgrade and feels luxurious under the fingers and offers a tactile and durable playing surface, with the 9.5" radius working in conjunction with the Medium Jumbo frets to produce an authentically vintage playing experience, allowing for vibrato techniques and complex chord shapes to be played with ease.
 
This Limited Edition American Standard comes fitted with two Custom Shop Fat '50s Strat single coils in the neck and middle positions, and an aftermarket Seymour Duncan Hot Rail in the bridge position. The bridge pickup is a welcome addition to the line up of pickups, providing a thicker, grittier voice to the guitar whilst also adding warmth to what is normally the brightest position. The middle pickup produces bright trebles and full warm bass, and lends itself well to rhythm tones. The neck pickup has rounded creamer tones great for chordal phrasings or quick jazz style lines, whilst also handling higher gain settings masterfully, offering plenty of room for tonal sculpting.
