Faith Naked Series FKN Neptune Satin Natural 2014 Acoustic Guitar
Here for sale we have a Faith Naked Series FKN Neptune acoustic guitar in Satin Natural finish. Made in Indonesia in 2014, this guitar features and all-solid construction comprising an Engelmann Spruce top, Mahogany back and sides, Mahogany neck and 20 fret Solid Rosewood fingerboard with matching bridge. a NuBone saddle & nut are fitted, along with a set of Chrome sealed tuning machines. Aesthetically restrained, the top features an Abalone rosette, whilst the fingerboard & headstock are inlaid with the Faith logo in Pearl. 
 
The Mahogany neck plays very well, with what might be described as a moderately-sized rounded 'C' profile that fills the hand nicely without feeling cumbersome. The Satin finish to the rear of this particular neck provides a sense of familiarity to the playing experience which is really quite inspiring in the hands. The Rosewood fingerboard is supremely pleasant under the fingers and provides a durable yet luxurious playing surface. The 16" radius is practical for chords, fingerstyle and melodic playing techniques. 
 
The Faith Neptune is based on Patrick James Eggle's 'Saluda' body shape, which is close in size and shape to a baby jumbo. This means that there is plenty of power and depth to the tone whilst retaining a comfortable and manageable playing position. The Mahogany used in this instrument's construction delivers a warm and balanced tone. The Engelmann-Spruce top projects well and provides a wide and sensitive dynamic range with no loss of clarity at higher volumes. It's easy to see why this guitar has been so well reviewed since its release.

    Aesthetic Condition:

    Headstock: Overall very good condition. The top rear edge demonstrates some light indentation, flattening the corners. The front face demonstrates very light scratching visible only under direct lighting at certain angles. Light scratching is visible to the front bass die edge near the 6th E tuner. 

     

    Neck: Overall very good condition. The rear of the neck demonstrates light indentations throughout the register, most apparent behind frets 3-4. The satin finish to the rear of the neck has worn to a light gloss consistent with playwear. 

     

    Body: Overall very good condition. A mild chip is present to the front face near the treble side of the bridge. Scratching & wear to the satin finish is present at the treble side of the waist consistent with playwear. Light chipping and indentation is scattered inconsistently around the front face, most notably around the lower bout. A mild chip is present to the rear face towards the centre of the lower bout. 

     

    Condition of Frets:

    The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for future fret work.

     

    Current Set Up:

    Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included.

    Hardware: Fully functional with light signs of use.

    Structural: No concerns or issues to note.

    Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2.25mm

    This instrument is set-up for fingerstyle, and players using a heavier attack may need to raise the action to eliminate string rattle. There is a small amount of material remaining in the saddle for further adjustments.
