Here for sale we have an ESP LTD Surveyor 405 5-String Electric Bass in Natural Gloss finish. Made in Korea in 2007, this bass consists of a Swamp Ash body, a Maple neck, and a 21-fret Maple fingerboard. Other appointments include Open-Gear tuners, a Wilkinson Licensed bridge, and a set of EMG MMTW/35P4 active pickups. These pickups are wired to a master volume, 3-band EQ, and a coil-split mini toggle switch.
The Maple neck plays exceptionally well, with what might be described as a Thin 'U' shaped profile that is substantial enough to sustain a firm grip whilst remaining slim enough for articulate lines. The Maple fingerboard provides a smooth and durable playing surface across the register, and with its 15.75" radius is highly practical for a wide range of styles and techniques. The large cutaways and generous body contours ensure uninhibited fret access whilst improving comfort on long gigs and practice sessions.
Amplified, the Surveyor 405 delivers an absolutely stunning fundamental bass tone right away. The lows are thick and rumbling, with warm driving mids and a beautiful sparkling top end that captures all the snap and attack of your playing. The on-board active preamp does a fantastic job of sculpting your tone, with comprehensive controls that ensure you are always able to dial in your perfect sound. This is a typically well-crafted bass from ESP that delivers excellent tone and playability in a stunning finish.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition. The treble side edge displays mild scuffing and indentation.
Neck: Overall very good condition. The rear of the neck displays a very minor indentation in line with the 4th fret. This cannot be felt in playing position and in no way affects the instruments feel or playability. Any other markings to the neck and fingerboard are difficult to discern.
Body: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the body demonstrate very light scratching, only visible under direct light, as is common for high gloss finishes. Minor scuffing is present to the treble side of the lower bout which has not pierced the finish to reveal the wood beneath.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (spoke wheel) not included.
Hardware: Overall very good condition. Very mild tarnishing is apparent to the bridge.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.

This bass demonstrates mild fret noise on the high strings which is not apparent when amplified. This noise does not affect the sustain or tone of notes. The new owner may choose to raise the action to alleviate this.
