Here for sale we have an ESP Eclipse-II QM Duncan in See-Thru Black Cherry finish. This particular guitar was produced before ESP preemptively changed their specifications to avoid legal action from Gibson. As such, this example features 4 control knobs & a sharper treble side horn, similar to that of the Les Paul. Later examples featured 3 control knobs & a modified treble side horn. Built in Japan in 2012, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Mahogany body with Quilted Maple top, Mahogany & 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Gotoh Black Nickel hardware is fitted including a ToM bridge, Stop Bar tailpiece and sealed tuning machines. A pair of Seymour Duncan passive humbucking pickups are installed, with a JB in the bridge & a '59 in the neck. These are wired to a 3-way toggle switch, independent volume & tone controls with a master push/pull coil split on the neck tone.

The Thin ‘U’ neck profile sits comfortably in the hand, offering a smooth and comfortable playing surface and providing ergonomic thumb positioning up and down the neck. The 12” radius provides maximum hand comfort for chords playing the lower register, whilst allowing greater speed and cleaner string bending as the player moves up the neck, great for more technically demanding playing styles. The single cutaway body design allows for unobstructed access to the higher register, whilst generous body contours provide comfort when playing in a seated position.

The Seymour Duncan passive humbucking pickups provide tones that are thick and full. The '59 in the neck offers boosted mids, big lows and fat highs, and is perfect for rock and metal lead tones. The JB in the bridge position is Duncan's most popular pickup, providing highly detailed intensity that will help your rhythm tones slice through even the densest of mixes. The independent volume & tone controls keep things feeling nice and straightforward, making a great ‘Plug in and play’ instrument whilst the push/pull coil split adds the option of single-coil-esque sounds.

    Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the headstock demonstrate light scratching, only visible under direct light at certain angles. This is most notable around the tuning posts.

Neck: Overall excellent condition. Very light scratching to the rear of the neck is visible under direct light and close scrutiny. Any other markings to the neck and fingerboard are difficult to discern.

Body: Overall very good condition. Moderate indentation and chipping to the side of the instrument is present at the bass side of the lower bout. In two places the chipping here has exposed the wood to the rear edge. Light to mild indentation is scattered around the top, most notably at the bass side lower bout where the forearm rests. Mild scratching is present around the neck tone control. The finish appears to have reacted with a strap around the upper strap button. All aspects of the body demonstrate light scratching when viewed under direct light & close scrutiny, as is common with high gloss finishes.

    Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate moderate signs of use, not affecting playability. Light denting is present to the early-mid register and flattening of the frets is apparent throughout. There is moderate material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.

    Current Set Up:

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (5/16" socket) is included.

Hardware: Fully functional and good condition. Mild scratching and tarnishing is apparent to the bridge, tailpiece and tuners, with fading of the black plating to the bridge.
