Made in the USA in 2007, this guitar consists of an Alder body, a Birdseye Maple neck, and a 22-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include Chrome hardware, Schaller M-6 IND Locking Tuners, an Original Music Man Vintage Tremolo, an EMG 85 Active Humbucker in the bridge, and two EMG SLV Active Single Coils in the neck and middle position. These pickups are wired to a master volume, master tone, and a 5-way pickup selector.
The Birdseye Maple neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the ‘Classic V’ profile adjusting the hand for an ergonomic hold, whilst feeling slender and providing a smooth and articulate playing experience. The Satin finish aids in effortless navigation up and down the neck, with the Rosewood fingerboard offering a pleasant surface under the fingers. The 12” radius and Narrow frets assist with vibrato techniques and assist with faster playing styles, whilst the double cutaway body design provides uninhibited access to the upper register.
Amplified, the trio of Active EMG pickups installed in this guitar deliver a wide range of full-bodied and heavy tones, perfect for a multitude of genres and playing styles. The EMG 85 in the bridge produces a searing output which can easily drive your amp into a saturated distortion tone; great for rock and metal riffing and rhythm parts. The single coils in the neck and middle provide plenty of tonal scope. Their tone is crystal clear and precise, working equally well for articulate lead lines and strummed clean sounds. Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall excellent condition. All aspects of the headstock display light signs of past use.
Neck: Overall excellent condition. Light discoloration is present to the rear of the neck, this is common with regular past use on natural maple necks.
Body: Overall very condition. A light lacquer crack is present to the bass side of the neck pocket, this is common with bolt-on neck guitars and is not structural. Light scratching is present to the front face and lower side lower bout, these can be seen under direct light and do not pierce the finish.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate moderate signs of use, not affecting playability. Denting and flattening of the frets is apparent throughout the register. There is moderate material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (spoke wheel) not included.
Hardware: Overall excellent condition. All aspects of the hardware display light signs of past use. Tremolo arm included.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
