Here for sale we have an Epiphone USA Map Electric Guitar in Natural Satin finish. Originally made as a one-off prototype for a marketing campaign back in 1982, this 2005 reissue features a Mahogany body in the shape of the continental United States of America. A special run from the Epiphone custom shop, this guitar is now a south after collector's piece.
Made in Korea in 2005, this guitar consists of a Mahogany USA-shaped body, a Maple neck, and a 22-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include Chrome hardware, a Tune-O-Matic bridge, a Stopbar tailpiece, Black Reflector knobs, Grover Die-Cast tuners, and a set of Alnico Classic Humbucking pickups. These pickups are wired to two volume controls, a tone control, and a three-way pickup selector.
The Maple neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the 'C' shaped profile providing ergonomic thumb positioning up and down the neck. The Satin finish to the rear of the neck assists with smooth transitions, making navigation of the 24.75" scale feel like a breeze. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with its 12" radius offers a nice balance between comfortable chord playing and practicality for lead lines and string bending techniques.
The Alnico Classic humbuckers in this guitar offer a full, thick tone, plenty of warmth and roundness is present in the neck position. The middle position sounds punchy, with driving mids along with crisp and clear highs making for a nice blend of the two pickups. The bridge position provides open sustain and broad harmonic clarity, making chords sound crystalline and clear. The wiring gives plenty of versatility without any complicated switching, making this instrument great for tonal sculpting to the players desired taste.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition. A light chip to the finish is present to the top edge of the front face, this has very slightly exposed the wood. The front face displays light scratching which is visible under direct light, as is common with high gloss finishes.
Neck: Overall excellent condition. Light lateral scratching is present to the fingerboard which can be seen under direct light at close scrutiny, these can not be felt under the fingerboards. All other aspects of the neck and fingerboard display light signs of past use.
Body: Overall very good condition. Moderate indentations can be seen to the bass side lower out edge, these have chipped the finish exposing the wood beneath. A patch of light scratching is present to the rear face bass side shoulder, this appears the have has a touch up repair from a previous owner, with this, more scratching can be seen to the bass side lower bout edge. Very light polishing of the satin finish can be seen to all aspects of the body with the most noticeable being seen to the bass side of the tailpiece, this is common with past use on satin finishes.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included.
Hardware: Overall excellent condition. All aspects of the hardware display light signs of past use.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm
