Here for sale we have an Epiphone Ltd Edition Firebird Studio Electric Guitar in Worn Cherry finish. Made in Korea in 2006, this guitar consists of a Mahogany body, a Mahogany set-neck, and a 22-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include Chrome hardware with a Tune-o-Matic bridge with upgraded Graphtec saddles, a Stopbar tailpiece and a set of Steinberger 40:1 direct-drive, gearless tuning machines. The pickups featured consist of a pair of ToneRider Rebel 90 humbucker sized P90’s, these are wired to a 3-way pickup selector and master volume and tone control for each pickup.
The neck profile is carved into what we would describe as a SlimTaper ‘D’, this is a comfortable profile which when combined with the relatively wide shape fills the hand reassuringly without feeling overly cumbersome. The thru neck construction and Firebird design provides excellent access to the upper register, and along with the Rosewood fingerboard and gloss finish a smooth playing experience can be expected in all registers. The weight of the instrument is relatively well distributed thanks to the Steinberger 40:1 direct-drive, gearless tuners making this guitar a perfect gigging companion.
The pair of ToneRider Rebel 90 pickups sound thick and raw, with a solid output that pushes the front end of an amp nicely. The neck pickup is full sounding and warm, whilst the midrange is perfectly balanced and easily cuts through any mix. The bridge has a hotter output, it produces a biting tone which easily cuts through the mix for those rock rhythm sounds and has a great harmonic register. This guitar offers a wide selection of tones for the player to explore, with the ease of the control layout making adjusting the tone a breeze.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition. Light indentations can be seen to the rear face treble side edge near the high E tuning machine, these have not broken through the finish. A light lacquer crack can be seen to the rear face by the low E tuning machines, this does not affect the structure of the instrument. Light scuff markings are present to the front face of the headstock, these can only be seen under direct light.
Neck: Overall very good condition. A light lacquer crack can be seen to the treble side of the nut, this has been tested and presents no structural concerns. The fingerboard demonstrates a light indentation at the 10th fret, this can not be felt in the playing position. The Satin finish to the rear of the neck has been lightly polished to a Gloss texture through regular past use.
Body: Overall very good condition. Light to mild indentations are present to both the treble and bass side lower bout edges, the most apparent of these have lightly cracked the lacquer finish but do not expose the wood beneath. All aspects of the body display light scratching and markings which can only be seen under direct light, this is most apparent to the center of the rear face.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate mild signs of use, not affecting playability. Light denting and flattening of the frets is apparent to the early register. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included.
Hardware: Fully functional and very good condition. Due to the nature of tuning machines design, the high E string can slip if not central to the locking post. A previous owner has replaced the original pick guard with a black one, the original is included. A previous owner has also replaced the original bridge saddles for a set of Graphtech saddles, the original saddles are included.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
