Here for sale we have an Epiphone Les Paul Standard Plus Top Electric Guitar in Trans Amber finish. Made in China in 2003, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Mahogany body with Flamed Maple top, Mahogany neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. This guitar is fitted with Chrome hardware including Tune-O-Matic bridge and StopBar tailpiece, as well as Grover Rotomatic tuning machines. The pickups installed are a pair of Alnico Classic humbuckers which are wired to the standard Les Paul control layout.
The Mahogany neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the SlimTaper profile providing ergonomic thumb positioning up and down the neck. The Gloss finish to the rear of the neck assists with smooth transitions, making navigation of the 24.75" scale feel like a breeze. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with its 12" radius offers a nice balance between comfortable chord playing and practicality for lead lines and string bending techniques.
The Alnico Classic humbuckers in this guitar offer a full, thick tone, plenty of warmth and roundness is present in the neck position. The middle position sounds punchy, with driving mids along with crisp and clear highs making for a nice blend of the two pickups. The bridge position provides open sustain and broad harmonic clarity, making chords sound crystalline and clear. The Classic Les Paul wiring gives plenty of versatility without any complicated switching, making this instrument great for tonal sculpting to the players desired taste.

A previous light headstock break is apparent to the bass side of the nut, this has been repaired to an acceptable standard and presents no structural concerns, with this light lacquer cracking is present around where the break occurred. The top edge of the headstock displays light chipping and scuff marks. There is a chip to the finish that appears to have been coloured in just to the left side of the truss rod cover. All surfaces of the headstock demonstrate scratching as is common with a gloss finish.
Neck: Overall very good condition. There is a moderate chip to the rear of the neck behind the 6th fret. The rear of the neck demonstrates light scratching as is common with a high gloss finish. There is some light lacquer cracking at the bass side fingerboard seam, this does not affect functionality but can be felt.
Body: Overall good condition. All surfaces of the body display signs of previous, honest use with scratching, light indentations and small chips evident throughout. There is more notable chipping to the bottom edge of the guitar, with a chip on the rear edge breaking the finish and exposing the wood beneath, with several other small chips and scuff marks in this region.

The frets demonstrate a light flattening of the crown not affecting playability, there is substantial material remaining for any future fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
