Here for sale we have an Epiphone Les Paul Standard Electric Bass in Tobacco Sunburst finish. Made in Korea in 2003, this bass consists of an Alder body with a Flamed Maple top, a Maple neck, and a 22-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include Chrome hardware, Die-Cast tuners, a 3-point bridge, and a Chalice inlay on the headstock. The pickups installed in this bass are a set of Epiphone Bass Humbuckers that are wired to two volume controls, and two tone controls.
The Maple neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the thicker 'D' profile allowing for comfortable reach in all registers and promoting ergonomic thumb positioning, whilst the Gloss finish is fantastic for smooth, quick transitions up and down the neck. The Rosewood fingerboard feels pleasant under the fingers, whilst the 20” radius allows for ease of different techniques such as slap bass or chordal playing. The body design allows the player to have unobstructed access to the entire register, whilst also making longer durations of playing a comfortable experience.
Amplified, the Epiphone Bass Humbuckers provide a fantastic fundamental bass tone, with a deep rumbling low end that will fill out any mix. The mid range is warm and adds a distinct character to the tone, whilst the high end frequencies add a nice snappy fast attack. The individual volume controls allow you to blend the neck and bridge pickups in any combination, providing a versatile range of tones suitable for a multitude of musical settings.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the headstock display light to mild scratching which can be viewed under direct light, this is most apparent to the front face where moderate scratching is present. Light indentations are present to the rear of the headstock just behind the nut; these have not broken; the finish can be seen under direct light.
Neck: Overall very good condition. Light to mild scratching is present to the rear of the neck across the register, these can only be seen under direct light and can not be felt in the playing position.
Body: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the body display light to moderate scratching and indentations. The most apparent scratching can be seen across the entirety of the rear face, the most noticeable of these can be seen to the bass side waist where the finish has been lightly rubbed away to lightly expose the wood beneath the finish. More moderate scratching can be seen on the lower bout edge. Mild indentations are present to the edges of the body, the most noticeable can be seen to the rear face bass side lower bout , these have lightly pierced the lacquer finish but do not expose the wood beneath.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is moderate material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (5mm hex) not included.
Hardware: Overall good condition. The tuning machines for the D string have been replaced with a Warwick branded one by a previous owner, the original is not included. Light to mild cracking is present to the pickup rings, these have been tested and are structurally sound. All aspects of the metal hardware display light to mild scratching and tarnishing of the finish, this is common with regular past use.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
