Epiphone Les Paul 300 Cherry Sunburst 1999 Electric Guitar
Here for sale we have an Epiphone Les Paul 300 in Cherry Sunburst finish. Made in Korea in 1999, this guitar features a bolt-on neck construction comprising a Mahogany body with a Flamed Maple top, Mahogany neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. This guitar is fitted with Nickel hardware including a Tune-O-Matic bridge and StopBar tailpiece and with a set of Kluson style tuning machines. The pickups installed are a pair of Epiphone humbuckers which are wired to a 3-way toggle switch, and independent volume and tone controls. 
 
The Mahogany neck plays very well, with a ‘C’ profile feeling incredibly comfortable in the hand, providing a substantial playing experience without being at all cumbersome. The Gloss finish to the rear creates a slick feeling in the hand and ensures that navigation of the 24.75” scale is a smooth and breezy affair. The traditional 12” fingerboard radius is as practical as ever, whilst its Rosewood construction provides a smooth and durable playing surface right the way up the register. The Medium Jumbo frets provide a rock-solid playing surface whilst enhancing the feel of vibrato and string bending techniques. 
 
The pair of Epiphone humbucking pickups installed in this guitar deliver thick and full-bodied tones, just as you would expect from a Les Paul. The neck pickup is warm and round, perfect for solo sounds or shimmering clean sounds. The bridge pickup is of course brighter, and offers a high output tone that drives the front end of an amp beautifully for saturated rhythm parts.

    Aesthetic Condition:

    Headstock: Overall very good condition. A mild indentation is present to treble side top edge of the front face, this has chipped the finish slightly exposing the wood beneath. A finish imperfection is present to the bass side top edge of the rear face, this lightly shows the wood beneath. Light scratching is present to the front face which can be seen under direct light as is common with high gloss finishes.

    Neck: Overall excellent condition. Light finish cracking is present to both the treble and bass side of the fingerboard joint going towards the 3rd fret, this is a lacquer crack and presents no structural concerns. All other aspects of the neck and fingerboard display light signs of past use.

    Body: Overall very good condition. The front face demonstrates consistent light indentation to the lower bout. A moderate indentation is apparent in the same area piercing the finish, which has discolored over time. The rear Light scratching is present to all aspects of the body which can only be seen under direct light, the most prominent of these can be seen to the front face lower bout. 

     

    Condition of Frets:

    The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for future fret work.

     

    Current Set Up:

    Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included.

    Hardware: Overall very good condition. The scratch plate presents some glue residue from where a sticker was once present. Light tarnishing is present to the pickup covers and the bridge.

    Structural: No concerns or issues to note.

    Height of string from 12th Fret- Treble 1.5mm - Bass 2mm
