Here for sale we have an Epiphone Flamekat semi-hollow electric guitar in Ebony Flame finish. Made in Korea in 2000 this guitar features a set-neck construction consisting of a semi-hollow Mahogany body, ‘D’ shaped Maple profile neck and 22 fret Ebony fingerboard. Other appointments include an aftermarket Duesenberg tremolo, closed gear tuning machines and Dice control knobs. A pair of “New York” mini-humbuckers are fitted and wired to a Master Volume, Bridge Volume, Neck Volume, Master Tone and 3-way pickup selector.
The Maple neck plays very well, with the “D” neck profile feeling slim and comfortable in the hand and promoting ergonomic thumb positioning for easy fretting in all registers. The Gloss finish to the rear assists with smooth navigation of the 24.75" scale. The Ebony fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with its 12” radius provides a surface that is practical for both chordal and melodic playing styles. The frets enhance bending and vibrato techniques, allowing you to take full control of your phrasing. The semi-hollow body design offers great responsiveness and dynamics making the user feel ‘connected’ to the musical experience.
The mini-humbuckers sound thick and full, with a warm low end, a tight and punchy midrange, along with a clear and articulate high end. Clean sounds are shimmering and crystal clear, yet the pickups respond well to overdriven tones too- great for solos or an extra bit of grit. The bridge pickup has beautiful clarity, allowing for shimmering trebles to ring through whilst the middle position blends the best of both pickups to create a smooth and well-defined voice. The neck position has rounded, creamy tones that are great for chordal phrasings or quick jazz lines, with the extensive controls offering plenty of room for tonal shaping.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall good condition. All aspects of the headstock demonstrate light to mild scratching and indentations. The bass side corner of the rear face demonstrates a considerable chip that reveals the bare wood beneath.
Neck: Overall very good condition. The rear of the neck demonstrates light scratching throughout, only visible under direct light at certain angles. Both the bass and treble side of the neck demonstrate cracking to the finish in the early register. These pose no structural issues to the guitar and is stable. Any markings to the fingerboard are difficult to discern. The finish has been removed in a small area to the treble side of the neck join, revealing the wood beneath.
Body: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the body demonstrate light to mild scratching and indentations. The front face edges demonstrate mild chipping to the lower bout, slightly revealing the wood beneath in some areas. An area of exposed wood is apparent to the side, near the input jack. The tip of the cutaway horn demonstrates an indentation that reveals the wood beneath. The rear face edges demonstrate numerous indentations which reveal the wood beneath in some areas.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate light signs of use, with mild denting in the early register, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for future fret work.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included.
Hardware: Fully functional and good condition. Moderate to considerable tarnishing is apparent to the bridge, tailpiece, tuners, pickups and logo badge.
An Aftermarket Duesenberg tremolo has been fitted to replace the epiphone original. The original is not included.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm

Please note that a rattling can be heard when the high E string is played open. The bridge and nut slots have been checked and it appears to be a hardware rattle.
