Here for sale we have an Epiphone Dot Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar that has been refinished in Pelham Blue finish. Crafted in China, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Laminated Maple body, Mahogany neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. The guitar is equipped with Nickel hardware including an Epiphone Tune-O-Matic bridge and StopBar tailpiece, along with a set of Grover Rotomatic tuning machines. A pair of Epiphone humbucking pickups are installed. These are wired to a 3-way toggle switch and independent volume & tone controls.
The Mahogany neck plays well, with a rather substantial profile which might be described as a 'D' shape. This provides a confidence inspiring grip for chord playing as well as easy fretting in any register. The Gloss finish to the rear feels pleasant to the touch and aids easy transitions up and down the neck. The semi-hollow construction makes this guitar easy on the shoulders on long gigs, and the smooth lines of the body ensure that this is a comfortable guitar to play in either standing or seated positions.
The semi-hollow construction of this guitar means that it resonates and sustains very well. It produces an airy tone with an unpronounced yet well defined low end, detailed upper midrange and sparkly high frequencies. With clean settings the Epiphone humbucker in the neck produces a round and smooth tone, perfectly suited to jazz. When driving the amp, the tone is rich and crunchy, lending itself well to blues. A versatile package of tones, especially with the independent volume and tone controls for each pickup.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition, the front face demonstrates some delamination of the finish towards the top edge. Light scratching is visible only under direct lighting at certain angles. The top edge demonstrates some contaminants in the re-finish, with a small hair and dust particles apparent beneath the clear coat. Several finish imperfections are present, with streaks and uneven colouring apparent.
Neck: Overall very good condition, the rear of the neck demonstrates some contaminants in the finish such as dust particles, these are beneath the clear coat and cannot be felt beneath the finger. There is a small indentation piercing the finish at the treble side of the rear behind the 6th fret.
Body: Overall very good condition, all aspects of the body demonstrate some contaminants in the finish such as dust particles. These are beneath the clear coat and cannot be felt beneath the finger. In certain lightings, brush strokes are visible but cannot be felt. Scratching to the rear face is apparent, some of these on the clear coat and some beneath, meaning they cannot be felt. Finish cracking is apparent around the joint to the heel of the neck due to varying expansion rates of the differing woods, not affecting structure. The finish around the binding is somewhat uneven in places, particularly on the shoulders.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for future fret work.

This guitar demonstrates mild fret noise which is mildly apparent when amplified. This noise does not affect sustain of notes, nor does it affect bending the notes. The new owner may choose to raise the action to alleviate this.
