Here for sale we have an Eastman SB59/v electric guitar in Antique Goldburst finish. Hand made in China, The Eastman SB59/v is a nod to the '59 Les Paul, and aims to offer vintage feel, tone and aesthetics at a fraction of the cost of an original '50s instrument. The Nitrocellulose finish, Lollar Custom Aged/Wound Imperial humbucking pickups pickups, and chunky 1-piece Okuome neck really hammer home the vintage vibe that so many guitarists desperately desire.

The Antique Goldburst finish is beautiful, with mild ageing and playwear markings added in the factory to enhance the vintage-vibe of the instrument. A set-neck construction is employed, and comprises a one-piece Okuome body, solid Flame Maple top, one-piece Okuome neck and 22-fret Ebony fingerboard. Gotoh Relic Series Aged Nickel hardware is fitted including a GE101A-NI tailpiece, GE-104B-NI bridge and SD90 tuning machines with 'Tulip' style buttons. A pair of Lollar Custom Aged/Wound Imperial humbucking pickups are installed, and are wired to a 3-way toggle switch and independent volume & tone controls.

The 1-Piece Okuome neck sits very comfortably in the hand, with the profile feeling chunky without being cumbersome and providing a smooth and articulate playing experience across the register. The Ebony fingerboard is pleasant and luxurious under the fingers, offering a sumptuous yet durable playing surface for the user to explore. The 12” radius is traditional for an instrument in this style, and is practical for both chordal and melodic playing styles, making bending and vibrato techniques a breeze. The single cutaway body design offers the player unobstructed access to the higher register, perfect for those screaming lead lines.

The Lollar Custom Aged/Wound Imperial humbucking pickups installed in this guitar deliver powerful Les Paul style tones, taking you from sweet cleans through to snarling overdrive. The tone is warm and certainly vintage-inspired, yet retains just enough modern clarity and articulation for a refined overall sound. The neck is round and powerful, blasting lead lines and solos to the front of the mix. The bridge is bright and articulate, and works exceptionally well for dirty blues or rock rhythm parts and riffs. The controls are kept simple and traditional, but respond very well to small changes meaning that a wide range of tones are on offer without going anywhere near a pedal.
