Made in China in 2021, this guitar consists of a Solid Thermo-Cure Sitka Spruce top, Laminated Rosewood back and sides, an Okoume neck, and a 20-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include a Bone nut, a Rosewood bridge, Pingwell RM 1171-CVR 3+3 tuners, and an Eastman Pickup and Preamp system. This system features controls for volume and tone.
The satin finish Traditional Even ‘C’ profile neck feels well balanced and familiar in the hand, giving a comfortable playing surface, without being unmanageable. The venetian cutaway gives excellent access to the upper register and the Grand Auditorium body style provides a lively and responsive playing experience without feeling cumbersome.
The tone of the PCH2-GACE is full and warm, with a rich low end, a smooth yet forward midrange, along with clear and articulate highs. The open pore finish really lets the guitar resonate freely, for a lovely 'broken-in' tone with excellent dynamic control. The Eastman pickup and preamp system gives excellent versatility in a discreet soundhole mounted package, perfect for a wide range of playing situations.
