Here for sale we have a Duesenberg Double Cat Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar in Black finish. Made in Germany in 2020, this guitar consists of a Solid American Alder body with sound chambers, a 1-Piece Maple neck, and a 22-fret Indian Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include Duesenberg Z-Tuners with "Art Diego" buttons, a Duesenberg steel saddle bridge, and a Duesenberg Deluxe Tremola system. The pickups installed in this guitar are a Duesenberg Domino P90 in the neck position, and a Duesenberg GrandVintage Humbucker in the bridge position. These pickups are wired to a master volume, master tone, and a three-way pickup selector.
The Maple neck plays very well, with the Medium 'D' profile feeling nicely slim and manageable in the hand for easy playability across the register. The gloss finish to the rear of the neck assists with smooth navigation of the 25.5" scale , whilst the single cutaway body design enhances access to the upper frets. The Indian Rosewood of the fretboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with its 12" radius is practical for a wide range of playing styles and techniques. The Duesenberg Diamond Deluxe Tremola offers Bigsby-style tremolo flutters whilst retaining excellent tuning stability.
The pair of Duesenberg pickups installed in this guitar deliver an exciting and unique range of tones that work well in a wide variety of musical settings. The Domino P90 in the neck is warm and raw, delivering a tone that is thicker and grittier than a single coil, but that retains clarity and chime on clean sounds. The GrandVintage humbucker in the bridge is of course hotter, delivering a searing output that saturates into a thick distortion when driving the amp. The semi-hollow construction of the body ensures a sensitive dynamic range that is responsive to the player's touch. Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition. Light scuffing to the finish can be seen to the rear face top edge, these can only be seen under close scrutiny. All aspects of the headstock display light scratching which can be seen under direct light, as is common with gloss finishes.
Neck: Overall very good condition. A mild chip to the finish can be seen to the treble side of the neck heel, this has lightly exposed the wood beneath. Light scratching is present to the 1st fret of the fingerboard, these can not be felt in the playing position. Light scratching is present to the rear of the neck across the register, these can be seen under direct light as is common with gloss finishes.
Body: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the body display light to mild scratching which can be seen under direct light, as is common with gloss finishes. With this the most apparent can be seen across the rear face consistent with regular past use.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) included.
Hardware: Overall very good condition. Light tarnishing is present to all aspects of the hardware with the most apparent being seen to the bridge, consistent with regular past use.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm
