Here for sale we have a left handed DeArmond Starfire Special semi-hollow electric guitar in Tobacco Sunburst finish. Made in Korea in 2000, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a semi-hollow Laminated Maple body, Maple neck and 20 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Nickel hardware is fitted, including a DeArmond Vibro bigsby-style tailpiece, T-O-M style bridge and a set of sealed tuning machines. A pair of DeArmond 2K single-coil pickups are installed and are wired to a 3-way toggle switch with independent volume and tone controls. 
 
The Maple neck plays very well, with a profile that might be described as a moderately-sized 'Even C' shape, which fills the hand nicely for a comfortable and articulate grip across the register. The gloss finish to the rear of the neck assists with smooth navigation of the 24.75" scale, whilst the attractive Florentine cutaway enhances access to the upper frets. The slim lines of the body are comfortable in the arms, ensuring practicality for both standing and seated positions. The controls are well placed, providing a traditional feel along with easy access whilst playing. 
 
The pair of DeArmond 2K Single-Coil pickups deliver a surprisingly strong output, with a thicker tone than you might expect from a single-coil. This is perfect for anything from dark, jazzy lead lines to crunchy rock and blues tones. The neck position is particularly dark and moody, whilst providing plenty of power to push your solo tones to the front of the mix. The bridge pickup is of course brighter, and works well for rhythm playing and riffing. The semi-hollow construction provides a nicely responsive feel to the playing experience, with a wide, sensitive dynamic range that remains resistant to feedback.
