Here for sale we have a Danelectro Model 56 Pro Reissue Electric Guitar in Malt Shop White Creme finish. Made in Korea, this guitar consists of a Masonite and Ply wood body, a Maple neck, and a 21-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include enclosed tuning machines, chrome hardware, and two lipstick single coil pickups that are wired to two independent stacked volume and tone controls, and a three-way pickup selector.
The Maple neck plays very well, with what might be described as a rounded 'D' profile that provides comfortable playability in all registers. The Gloss finish to the rear ensures that navigation of the 25" scale is a smooth and effortless affair. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with its 20" radius offers a nicely flat and consistent playing surface right the way up the register. The Masonite construction keeps the weight down to just 6.4lbs, meaning this guitar is nice and light on the shoulders.
The Masonite body construction ensures a beautiful resonance and nicely open tone that suits this style of guitar perfectly. The pair of Lipstick single-coils installed deliver a bright and sparkling sound that will cut easily through even the most saturated of mixes The stacked individual volume and tone controls are intuitive to use, giving enough versatility without over complicating things. Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the headstock display light to mild scratching which can be seen under direct light, as is common with gloss finishes.
Neck: Overall very good condition. The rear of the neck displays light to mild scratching which can be seen under direct light, as is common with gloss finishes.
Body: Overall very good condition. A mild chip to the finish can be seen to the treble side lower bout edge, this has exposed the wood beneath. All aspects of the body display light scratching which can be seen under direct light, as is common with gloss finishes.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate moderate signs of use, not affecting playability. Denting and flattening of the frets is apparent throughout the register. There is moderate material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included.
Hardware: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the metal hardware display light tarnishing consistency with past use. Light to mild scratching can be seen under direct light to the scratch plate, consistent with past use.
