Here for sale we have a D'Angelico Premier EXL-1 Hollow Body Electric Guitar in Ocean Turquoise finish. Manufactured in Indonesia in 2018, this guitar features a set neck construction comprising a Maple body, a Maple neck adorned with a 22-fret Ovangkol fingerboard. Other features include Rotomatic Stairstep tuning machines, and an Ovangkol bridge. Fitted on this instrument is a Duncan Designed Floating Mini Humbucker.
The Maple neck is carved into a “C” Shape profile, filling the hand generously whilst still retaining a comfortable feel. This big bodied archtop guitar has a loud, full tone with a really bright response thanks to the maple back and sides. With plenty of resonance and balance, this guitar stands out as an instrument that holds its own when accompanying a voice or picking out a lead line.
The Premier EXL-1 comes fitted with a Mounted Floating Duncan Designed Mini Humbucker. The Pickup allows the player to experience an archtop acoustic guitar plugged in, offering a sensitive response that delivers the true representation of the unplugged tone. The Maple body helps to reduce feedback when playing at louder volumes, and provides a rich resonance, making the sound very reactive to the player's touch. Lightly rolling down the volume and tone controls allows the guitar to ring through with its characteristic clarity and warmth, providing a richness that is sought after by many.
