Here for sale we have a D'Angelico Excel DC Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar in Vintage Natural finish. Made in Korea in 2014, this guitar consists of a Laminated Flame Maple body, a Maple neck, and a 22-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include Gold hardware, a D'Angelico Step Tail Tailpiece, Grover locking tuners, and a set of upgraded Gibson '57/'57+ Humbucking pickups. These pickups are wired to two independent volume controls, two independent tone controls, a three-way pickup selector, and two independent coil-split switches. There is also an upgraded pickup ring for the bridge pickup that has a Shadow tuning system installed.
The Gloss finish Maple neck plays very well, with the ‘D’ profile feeling slender, sitting comfortably in the hand and providing a smooth and responsive playing experience in all registers. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with its 16” radius and Medium Jumbo frets offer a perfect balance between easy chord playing and practicality for lead lines and string bending techniques. The semi-hollow construction gives the guitar a nice open and resonant feel, while keeping unwanted feedback at bay thanks to the centre block.
The pair of upgraded Gibson '57 and '57+ humbucking pickups installed in this guitar offer warm and rich tones. The neck is thick and creamy, saturating beautifully into full-bodied distortion as you crank the gain; perfect for lead lines and solos. The bridge position is as bright and biting as you could ever need, helping you to cut through any mix with your rock rhythm tones. The traditional control layout keeps things feeling simple, with easy and intuitive tonal shaping that feels nicely responsive to small changes, allowing you to tweak your tone right on the guitar. The modified split-coil switches are a welcome addition to the instrument, and provide an even wider tonal palette to choose from.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall excellent condition, some light scratching is apparent to the front face visible only under direct lighting at certain angles.
Neck: Overall excellent condition, a small raised finish imperfection is apparent behind the nut to the rear of the neck. Some finish cracking is apparent around the joint between the heel and the body, this poses no structural concern and is due to differing expansion rates of the woods used.
Body: Overall excellent condition, all aspects of the body demonstrate very light scratching visible only under direct lighting at certain angles.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for future fret work.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included.
Hardware: Excellent condition with very light tarnishing. The neck pickup demonstrates some scratching to the treble side. The pickup rings have been changed, with the bridge pickup ring featuring a Shadow tuning system. The nut has been shimmed.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm
