This guitar is a commission sale. If you have a high-end or vintage instrument you’re interested in selling, please contact us.
Here for sale we have a Cimar 2061CS in Cherry Sunburst. Made in Japan in 1979, this guitar features a bolt-on construction consisting of a Maple curved top on Mahogany body, Mahogany neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include Pearloid block inlays and Gold die-cast tuning machines, bridge and tailpiece. A pair of Magna-6 humbucking pickups are fitted and wired to a 3-way pickup selector, independent volumes and independent tone controls.
The Mahogany neck sits comfortably snug in the hand, with the gentle ‘V’ profile being slim enough allowing for fast and easy navigation up and down the neck. The 10” radius provides a great playing surface allowing for bending and vibrato techniques and the single cutaway body allows unobstructed access to the higher register, great for those fast lead lines.
The humbucking pickups in this guitar deliver excellent response and sustain. There is plenty of warmth and roundness in the neck position, with ample power for driving your solo tones to the front of the mix. The bridge position provides open sustain clarity, making chords sound crystalline and clear and driving your amp into a thick, saturated distortion tone when cranking the gain.
Please be aware that for international buyers import fees are not included in our postage and packaging cost, this only covers the cost of the guitar being sent to you. Import fees will be charged by Customs upon the guitar's arrival in the recipient country. Due to Brexit, this also applies to EU buyers. We advise checking the total import cost with Customs as this is not information we are able to accurately provide.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition, the front face demonstrates some scratching and scuffing which has pierced the finish slightly. This is most notable towards the top of the headstock beside the logo. The top rear edges demonstrate moderate scuffing and indentation, revealing the wood beneath.
Neck: Overall very good condition, the rear of the neck demonstrates light scratching and very light indentation throughout the register visible only under close inspection. These markings are difficult to discern beneath the thumb. Some moderate playwear is apparent in the early register of the fingerboard, particularly beneath the treble strings. This cannot be felt beneath the string and does not affect the overall playability of the instrument. Finish cracking is present to both bass and treble sides of the neck pocket.
Body: Overall very good condition, the front face demonstrates several moderate indentations across the treble side waist, continuing down on to the treble side of the lower bout. These markings pierce the finish slightly. Similar indentations can be identified to the bass side of the lower bout. The sides and edges demonstrate consistent light to moderate indentation and scuffing throughout. A notable chip to the finish is apparent to the bass side lower bout rear edge, revealing a large portion of wood beneath. The rear face demonstrates moderate buckle rash, piercing the finish slightly.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate moderate signs of use, with indentation and flattening of the crowns throughout the register. There is only a small amount of material remaining for future fret work. Some fret ends are lifting slightly and can be felt in playing position, not affecting the clarity of notes.
