Here for sale we have an Antonio Picado Model 60. Made in his workshop just north of Barcelona in Spain this guitar features a set-neck construction consisting of Indian Rosewood back and sides, Spruce top with multi-stripe purfling, Honduran Cedar neck with black stripe and Ebony fingerboard. Other appointments include 3 on a side gold tuning machines. The soundhole is decorated in an intricate rosette which matches the design on the Rosewood bridge.
 
The ‘D’ shaped Honduran Cedar neck feels delicate and thin and provides an extremely comfortable grip in all registers. The flat back of the neck combined with the flat radius makes for straightforward untaxing fretting of the strings. The high quality Ebony fingerboard is supremely pleasant under the fingers and adds a real sense of luxury to the playing experience. The 2.0" nut width is traditional for a classical guitar and offers ample string spacing for articulate note separation.
 
The voice of the Model 60 is deep and warm with each string sounding clear and never sound muddy. Both warm and precise, a detailed low end provides the foundation for a smooth midrange and sparkling high frequencies that colour every note played on the instrument. The all-solid construction of this guitar ensures a superb resonance that allows the Spruce top to project accurately. Indeed, the dynamic response of the Model 60 feels very exact.
