Here for sale we have a Yamaha BB1024 Electric Bass in Tobacco Brown Sunburst finish. Made in Indonesia in 2013, this bolt-on constructed bass consists of an Alder body, a 5-piece Maple/Nato neck, and a 21-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include a Vintage Plus bridge, Nickel Sliver hardware, Chrome open gear tuners, and a PJ configuration of pickups. The pickups used are a Split Blade Alnico V in the neck, and a Single Blade Ceramic in the bridge, these are wired to a master volume, master tone, and a three-way pickup selector.
 
The 5-pc Maple/Nato neck plays very well, with a profile which might be described as a moderately-sized 'C' shape which offers comfortable playability and easy reach in all registers. The satin finish to the rear assists with smooth navigation of the 34" scale, whilst the generous double cutaways enhance access to the upper frets. The Rosewood for the fretboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with its 10" radius is practical for a wide range of playing styles and techniques. 
 
Amplified, the tone of the BB1024 is deep and rich, and will fill out the low end of any mix with ease. In addition to a thick and powerful bass response, the BB1024 delivers a punchy mid range and sparkling top end which captures the attack of your playing and helps to provide definition. The pair of Yamaha single-coil pickups offer plenty of versatility, with a warmer sound from the split-coil in the middle and brighter tone in the bridge position. The controls are kept nice and simple, ensuring that you can focus on your playing.
